Abstract:Single crystals of the title compound, C19H16N2O4, were obtained under hydro-thermal conditions by an unintended recrystallization of the employed microcrystalline starting material. The [(pyridin-4-yl)meth-oxy]benzoic acid unit is nearly planar, with a maximum deviation from the least-squares plane of 0.194 (2) Å. This plane is inclined by 35.82 (6)° to that defined by the second (pyridin-4-yl)meth-oxy group [in which the largest deviation from the least-squares plane is 0.013 (2) Å]. In the crystal, mol-ecules are linked by O-H⋯N hydrogen bonds involving the acid hy-droxy group and a pyridine N atom into chains parallel to [-201].

Abstract:In the title compound, C(12)H(16)O(2), the plane of the carboxylic acid group is almost perpendicular to the benzene ring [dihedral angle 80.9 (3)°] and the tert-butyl unit is disordered over two sets of sites in a 0.503 (6):0.497 (6) ratio. In the crystal structure, centrosymmetric dimers arise from pairs of O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds involving the carboxylic acid groups.

Abstract:In the crystal structure of the title compound, C(13)H(9)ClO(3), the mol-ecules form classical O-H⋯O hydrogen-bonded carb-oxy-lic acid dimers. These dimers are linked by C-H⋯π inter-actions into a three-dimensional network. The benzene rings are oriented at a dihedral angle of 77.8 (1)°.

Abstract:The title compound, C(21)H(17)BrN(2)O(4), a 2-phenoxy-2-phenyl-acetamide derivative, exhibits a stereogenic center but crystallizes as a racemate as indicated by the centrosymmetric space group. In the molecular structure, the nitro-substituted benzene ring is coplanar [dihedral angle = 12.9 (1)degrees] with the plane formed by H-N-C(=O)-C=O due to intramolecular N-H center dot center dot center dot O hydrogen-bond interactions.

Abstract:The crystal structure of the title compound, C6H8N4S22+.-2C(6)H(7)N(4)S(2)(+.)4C(7)H(4)NO(4)(-), comprises diprotonated diaminobithiazole (DABT) dications located on inversion centers, monoprotonated DABT cations and nitrobenzoate anions. The relatively short C - N( amino) bond distances, ranging from 1.310 (2) to 1.350 (2) angstrom, indicate electron delocalization between the amino groups and thiazole rings. Intermolecular N - H (...) O and N - H (...) N hydrogen bonds stabilize the crystal packing.

Abstract:In the title compound, C14H16ClNO2, the cyclo-hexyl ring has a chair conformation. The dihedral angle between the benzene ring and the mean plane of the four planar C atoms of the cyclo-hexyl ring is 45.2 (3)°. The two carbonyl groups are trans to one another, with an O=C-C=O torsion angle of -137.1 (3)°. In the crystal, mol-ecules are linked by N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds forming chains propagating along [001]. A region of disordered electron density, situated near the unit-cell corners, was treated using the SQUEEZE routine in PLATON [Spek (2009 ▶). Acta Cryst. D65, 148-155]. It gave a solvent-accessible void of ca 400 Å(3) for only 21 electrons. It is probably due to traces of the solvent of crystallization and was not taken into account during structure refinement.

Abstract:In the title compound, C(15)H(11)NO(3), the two essentially planar benzaldehyde groups [maximum deviations = 0.0487 (12) and 0.0205 (10) Å] are inclined at a dihedral angle of 72.64 (6)° with respect to each other. The bridging C-C-N-C torsion angle is 22.58 (18)°. In the crystal, inter-molecular bifurcated acceptor N-H⋯O and C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds link inversion-related mol-ecules into dimers incorporating R(1) (2)(7) and R(2) (2)(8) ring motifs. The crystal structure is further stabilized by weak inter-molecular C-H⋯π inter-actions.

Abstract:The title compound, C(7)H(3)Cl(2)NO(4), was prepared by the reaction of 2,4-dichloro-6-nitro-toluene with 20% HNO(3) solution at 430 K. The carboxyl and nitro groups are twisted by 82.82 (12) and 11.9 (2)°, respectively, with respect to the benzene ring. The crystal structure is stabilized by O-H⋯O hydrogen bonding between carboxyl groups and weak C-H⋯O hydrogen bonding between the nitro group and the benzene ring of an adjacent mol-ecule.
