Abstract:In this paper we study the Dirichlet problem of a class of nonlinear elliptic equations which includes Monge–Ampère equation, K-Hessian equation and the usual linear elliptic equation. This problem becomes singular near the boundary of the domain. By carefully constructing sub-solutions we obtain the boundary Hölder estimate for the convex solution to the problem when the domain satisfies exterior sphere condition.

Abstract:We establish the boundedness of weak subsolutions for a class of degenerate Kolmogorov equations of hypoelliptic type, compatible with a homogeneous Lie group structure, within bounded product domains using the De Giorgi iteration. We employ the renormalization formula to handle boundary values and provide energy estimates. An $L^1$-$L^p$ type embedding estimate derived from the fundamental solution is utilized to incorporate lower-order divergence terms. This work naturally extends the boundedness theory for uniformly parabolic equations, with matching exponents for the coefficients.

Abstract:For a family of systems of linear elasticity with rapidly oscillating periodic coefficients, we establish sharp boundary estimates with either Dirichlet or Neumann conditions, uniform down to the microscopic scale, without smoothness assumptions on the coefficients. Under additional smoothness conditions, these estimates, combined with the corresponding local estimates, lead to the full Rellich type estimates in Lipschitz domains and Lipschitz estimates in $C^{1, \alpha}$ domains. The $C^\alpha$, $W^{1,p}$, and $L^p$ estimates in $C^1$ domains for systems with VMO coefficients are also studied. The approach is based on certain estimates on convergence rates. As a bi-product, we obtain sharp $O(\varepsilon)$ error estimates in $L^q(\Omega)$ for $q=\frac{2d}{d-1}$ and a Lipschitz domain $\Omega$, with no smoothness assumption on the coefficients.

Furthermore, we establish a pointwise estimate of strong solutions and show that the gradients of the strong solutions are continuous along the boundary if the drift term, the boundary, and the right-hand side term satisfy a uniform Dini type condition on the boundary.

Abstract:In the present paper the existence of global smooth solutions to the homogeneous Dirichlet problem for degenerate elliptic Monge–Ampere equation: det (u ij ) = K(x)f(x, u, Du) in a smooth, strictly convex domain Ω ⊂ R 2 is proved provided that and positive in Ω and degenerate at finite degree on ∂Ω. Some applications to the regularity of solutions for eigenvalue problem for Monge–Ampere equations is discussed and in two dimensions an affirmative answer to a related problem raised by Trudinger is given.
Elliptic and parabolic equations with rough boundary data in Sobolev spaces with degenerate weights

Abstract:We investigate the inhomogeneous boundary value problem for elliptic and parabolic equations in divergence form in the half space $\{x_d > 0\}$, where the coefficients are measurable, singular or degenerate, and depend only on $x_d$. The boundary data are considered in Besov spaces of distributions with negative orders of differentiability in the range $(-1,0]$. The solution spaces are weighted Sobolev spaces with power weights that decay rapidly near the boundary, and are outside the Muckenhoupt $A_p$ class. Sobolev spaces with such weights contain functions that are very singular near the boundary and do not possess a trace on the boundary. Consequently, solutions may not exist for arbitrarily prescribed boundary data and right-hand sides of the equations. We establish a natural structural condition on the right-hand sides of the equations under which the boundary value problem is well-posed.

Abstract:This paper deals with a class of linear equations with boundary degeneracy. According to the degenerate ratio, the equations are divided into weakly degenerate ones and strongly degenerate ones, which should be supplemented by different Dirichlet boundary value conditions. After establishing some necessary existence, nonexistence and comparison principles, we investigate the optimal Hölder continuity of weak solutions in these two cases utilizing the Harnack inequality and the Morrey theorem, respectively.

Abstract:Focused on elliptic operators with stationary random coefficients of integrable correlations, stemming from stochastic homogenization theory, this paper primarily aims to investigate boundary estimates. As practical applications, we establish decay estimates for Green functions in both the quenched and annealed senses, as well as, some useful annealed estimates (including CLT-scaling) for boundary correctors. By extending Bella-Giunti-Otto's lemma in \cite{Bella-Giunti-Otto17} (to the version with a boundary condition), we ultimately obtain an error estimate for two-scale expansions of Green functions at mixed derivatives level, and thereby build connections to other interesting fields.

Abstract:We study the exact effect of the anisotropic convexity of domains on the boundary estimate for two Monge-Ampère Equations: one is singular which is from the proper affine hyperspheres with constant mean curvature; the other is degenerate which is from the Monge-Ampère eigenvalue problem. Abstract:We study a conormal boundary value problem for a class of quasilinear elliptic equations in bounded domain $\Omega$ whose coefficients can be degenerate or singular of the type $\text{dist}(x, \partial \Omega)^\alpha$, where $\partial \Omega$ is the boundary of $\Omega$ and $\alpha \in (-1, \infty)$ is a given number. We establish weighted Sobolev type estimates for weak solutions under a smallness assumption on the weighted mean oscillations of the coefficients in small balls. Our approach relies on a perturbative method and several new Lipschitz estimates for weak solutions to a class of singular-degenerate quasilinear equations.

Abstract:We show that if $\mathbb{R}^{n}$ is equipped with certain non-doubling metric and an Orlicz-Sobolev inequality holds for a special family of Young functions $\Phi $, then weak solutions to quasilinear infinitely degenerate elliptic divergence equations of the form $$\mathrm{div}\mathcal{A}\left( x,u\right) \nabla u=\phi _{0}-\mathrm{div}_{A} \vec{\phi}_{1}$$ are locally bounded. Furthermore, we establish a maximum principle for solutions whenever a global Orlicz-Soblev estimate is available. We obtain these results via the implementation of a Moser iteration method, what constitutes the first instance of such technique applied to infinite degenerate equations. These results partially extend previously known estimates for solutions of these equations but for which the right hand side did not have a drift term. We also obtain bounds for small negative powers of nonnegative solutions; these will be applied to obtain continuity of solutions in a subsequent paper.
