Abstract:In this present article, we study the fractional Hankel transform and its inverse on certain Gel'fand‐Shilov spaces of type S. The continuous fractional wavelet transform is defined involving the fractional Hankel transform. The continuity of fractional Hankel wavelet transform is discussed on Gel'fand‐Shilov spaces of type S. This article goes further to discuss the continuity property of fractional Hankel transform and fractional Hankel wavelet transform on the ultradifferentiable function spaces.

Abstract:In the present paper, a fractional wavelet transform of real order α is introduced, and various useful properties and results are derived for it. These include (for example) Perseval's formula and inversion formula for the fractional wavelet transform. Multiresolution analysis and orthonormal fractional wavelets associated with the fractional wavelet transform are studied systematically. Fractional Fourier transforms of the Mexican hat wavelet for different values of the order α are compared with the classical Fourier transform graphically, and various remarkable observations are presented. A comparative study of the various results, which we have presented in this paper, is also represented graphically.

Abstract:This paper introduces the fractional Fourier series on the fractional torus and proceeds to investigate several fundamental aspects. Our study includes topics such as fractional convolution, fractional approximation, fractional Fourier inversion, and the Poisson summation formula. We also explore the relationship between the decay of its fractional Fourier coefficients and the smoothness of a function. Additionally, we establish the convergence of the fractional Féjer means and Bochner–Riesz means. Finally, we demonstrate the practical applications of the fractional Fourier series, particularly in the context of solving fractional partial differential equations with periodic boundary conditions, and showcase the utility of approximation methods on the fractional torus for recovering non-stationary signals.

Abstract:The wavelet transform (WT) and the fractional Fourier transform (FRFT) are powerful tools for many applications in the field of signal processing. However, the signal analysis capability of the former is limited in the time-frequency plane. Although the latter has overcome such limitation and can provide signal representations in the fractional domain, it fails in obtaining local structures of the signal. In this paper, a novel fractional wavelet transform (FRWT) is proposed in order to rectify the limitations of the WT and the FRFT. The proposed transform not only inherits the advantages of multiresolution analysis of the WT, but also has the capability of signal representations in the fractional domain which is similar to the FRFT. Compared with the existing FRWT, the novel FRWT can offer signal representations in the time-fractional-frequency plane. Besides, it has explicit physical interpretation, low computational complexity and usefulness for practical applications. The validity of the theoretical derivations is demonstrated via simulations.

Abstract:Fractional wave equation arises in different type of physical problems such as the vibrating strings, propagation of electro-magnetic waves, and for many other systems. The exact analytical solution of the fractional differential equation is difficult to find. Usually Laplace-Fourier transformation method, along with methods where solutions are represented in series form is used to find the solution of the fractional wave equation. In this paper we describe the D Alembert s solution of the fractional wave equation with the help of complex fractional transform method. We demonstrate that using this fractional complex transformation method, we obtain the solutions easily as compared to fractional method of characteristics; and get the solution in analytical form. We show that the solution to the fractional wave equation manifests as travelling waves with scaled coordinates, depending on the considered fractional order value.

Abstract:The fractional wavelet transform (FRWT), which generalizes the classical wavelet transform and the well-known fractional Fourier transform, has recently been demonstrated as a powerful analytical tool for signal and image processing. However, this transform suffers from a relatively poor resolution in the high fractional frequency region, which results in difficulties in discriminating signals containing close high fractional frequency components. A simple but effective method to overcome this deficiency is the fractional wavelet packet transform (FRWPT). There exist several different definitions of the FRWPT in the literature. Unfortunately, these existing definitions do not generalize well the classical results for the conventional wavelet packet transform. The objective of this paper is to obtain a novel FRWPT that preserves the properties of its conventional counterpart. We first define the novel FRWPT and then discuss its related properties. Fractional wavelet packet subspaces are also constructed. Moreover, a recursive algorithm for implementing the proposed FRWPT is presented. Finally, we discuss potential applications of the proposed FRWPT.

Abstract:In this paper, the authors propose and utilize a novel B-splines-based technique to solve time fractional diffusion wave equations numerically. The present approach employs the arbitrary-order fractional derivative in conjunction with the theta-weighted scheme. The integration of the Atangana-Baleanu fractional derivative into time fractional diffusion wave equations represents a presented schemes are given. The suggested approach not only exhibits unconditional stability, it also our theoretical results to certain numerical examples to demonstrate their efficiency and accuracy.

Abstract:In this paper, we have given a new definition of continuous fractional wavelet transform in RN , namely the multidimensional fractional wavelet transform (MFrWT) and studied some of the basic properties along with the inner product relation and the reconstruction formula. We have also shown that the range of the proposed transform is a reproducing kernel Hilbert space and obtain the associated kernel. We have obtained the uncertainty principle like Heisenberg's uncertainty principle, logarithmic uncertainty principle and local uncertainty principle of the multidimensional fractional Fourier transform (MFrFT). Based on these uncertainty principles of the MFrFT we have obtained the corresponding uncertainty principles i.e., Heisenberg's, logarithmic and local uncertainty principles for the proposed MFrWT.

Abstract:In this study, I systematically investigate the fractional Whitham-Broer-Kaup (WBK) system and the fractional Coupled Jaulent-Miodek (CJM) equation under the Caputo fractional calculus. The nonlinear fractional differential equation systems are investigated via the Aboodh transform iteration method and the Aboodh residual power series method, thus offering a thorough analytical investigation. The dynamics of the fractional WBK system are accomplished using the Aboodh transform iteration method, and the Aboodh residual power series method is employed to study the behavior of the fractional CJM equation. Using established solutions, we completely analyze their dynamics employing both symbolic computations and numerical simulations. Consequently, novel solutions are identified, and the behavior of these fractional systems in the Caputo operator sense are clarified. The results obtained show good agreement of convergence of the numerical and analytical solutions, highlighting the effectiveness of the schemes adopted for unraveling the complex dynamics of fractional nonlinear systems.

Abstract:This study examines the application of fractional calculus in the analysis and modeling of electrical circuits of fractional order, highlighting its potential to explain the behaviour of complex electrical circuits accurately. In the domain of electrical circuits, fractional differential equations are employed in the analysis and simulation of systems that consist of resistors, capacitors and inductors. In the present paper, a novel approach utilizing fractional order modified Taylor wavelets is implemented to solve the fractional model of RL, LC, RC and RLC electrical circuits under generalized Caputo fractional derivative which offers precise and flexible modeling of non-locality and hereditary characteristics in complex systems. Furthermore, an additional parameter (time scale parameter) is incorporated in fractional circuit dynamics to maintain the physical dimensionality. The considered wavelets with the collocation technique offer an efficient solution by converting the fractional model of electrical circuits into a set of algebraic equations which are further solved by using the Newton iteration method. Moreover, this study discusses the significance of Ulam-Hyers stability, emphasizing its role in ensuring stable and reliable circuit performance. The impact of fractional order on the dynamics of the electric circuit model is presented by tables and graphs. The approximate solutions obtained by the proposed method are well comparable with exact solutions and some other existing wavelet-based techniques. The residual errors are also evaluated under various model parameters for fractional orders. Furthermore, the graphs illustrate that the error progressively decreases as the number of wavelets basis increases.

Abstract:This comprehensive review paper delves into the intricacies of advanced Fourier type integral transforms and their mathematical properties, with a particular focus on fractional Fourier transform (FrFT), linear canonical transform (LCT), quadratic phase Fourier transform (QPFT), and their associated offshoots: windowed Fourier transform, wavelet transform, and Stockwell transform. In the pursuit of a deeper understanding of these transformations, we explore their convolution properties, shedding light on their capacity to define windowed, wavelet and Stockwell transforms in the realm of Fourier, fractional Fourier and quadratic phase Fourier transforms. This review also expands its purview to the realm of uncertainty principles. Several uncertainty principles, like Heisenberg, logarithmic, local, Rényi uncertainty principles, etc., within the context of fractional Fourier, linear canonical, and quadratic phase Fourier transforms, as well as their derivative offshoots are presented in the paper both for the functions of complex as well as quatenrion valued. In particular, the counterpart of several important inequalities of classical Fourier transform are also presented in details for the quaternion case. This article also reviews that multiresolution analysis that has been developed in the literature so far.

Abstract:The classical example of no-where differentiable but everywhere continuous function is Weierstrass function. In this paper we have defined fractional order Weierstrass function in terms of Jumarie fractional trigonometric functions. The H?lder exponent and Box dimension of this new function have been evaluated here. It has been established that the values of H?lder exponent and Box dimension of this fractional order Weierstrass function are the same as in the original Weierstrass function. This new development in generalizing the classical Weierstrass function by use of fractional trigonometric function analysis and fractional derivative of fractional Weierstrass function by Jumarie fractional derivative, establishes that roughness indices are invariant to this generalization.

Abstract:The discrete formal FRFT is difficult to obtained by the directly sampling the continuous FRFT because the kernel function of the continuous fractional Fourier transform (FRFT) exhibits drastic oscillation and the oscillation amplitude has the distinct difference from the different order of the FRFT. Discrete FRFT has been intensively investigated recently and many definitions of the discrete FRFT have emerged. Firstly, the multiplicity of discrete FRFT is presented and the discrete FRFT are classified in term of its definition mode. Some of discrete FRFT are demonstrated which kind of the continuous FRFT they correspond to. Secondly, the problem of the discrete FRFT is analyzed and digital simulations are presented to verify the conclusion.

Abstract:In this paper, we present a fresh perspective on the fractional power of the Bessel operator using the Mellin transform. Drawing inspiration from the work of Pagnini and Runfola, we develop a new approach by employing Tato's type lemma for the Hankel transform. As an application, we establish a new intertwining relation between the fractional Bessel operator and the fractional second derivative, emphasizing the important role of the Mellin transform in the domain of fractional calculus associated with the Bessel operator.
