Abstract:This paper investigates the problem of adaptive tracking control for a class of uncertain nontriangular nonlinear system with discrete and distributed time-varying delays. By applying the integral mean value theorem, the difficulties arising from distributed time-time delays are solved well. Moreover, an event-triggered mechanism involving saturation is introduced to reduce communication burden and maintain the competitive control capability. By utilizing the Lyapunov-Razumikhin approach, backstepping technique, and the neural network (NN) approximation-based method, an event-triggered adaptive neural control scheme is proposed for such systems. The event-based controller can ensure that all the closed-loop signals are semi-global uniformly ultimately bounded (SGUUB) while the tracking error converges to a small neighbourhood of the origin. Finally, a simulation example is provided to illustrate the effectiveness and applicability of the proposed scheme.
