Abstract:Different ratios of potassium dihydrogen phosphate (MKP) were added to Pb-contaminated soils sampled from the lead-acid battery plant to determine MKP's effects on the concentration of leaching Pb and the speciation of the Pb using BCR sequential extraction. The results showed that MKP significantly decreased the leaching concentration of Pb and reached the expected effect at a ratio of 6%,which met the maximum concentration limits (0.25 mg · L-1) defined by Leachate Treatment Project Technical Specification of Municipal Solid Waste Landfill. The influence of time was that the acid-extractable and reducible states significantly decreased, whereas the oxidizable and residue states increased greatly. Each species of Pb changed prominently within the first 10 minutes, and then the changes slowed down.Compared with untreated soils,MKP decreased the acid-extractable and reducible states significantly, whereas it greatly increased the oxidizable and residue states.
