Abstract:Oil paper insulation material degrades in long-term operation. In order to understand the way that the aging status affects the interface charge behaviors, accelerated aging of oil immersed paper under nitrogen in a vacuum oven was conducted. In this study, the three main measurement techniques of conductivity measurement, space charge measurement and zeta potential measurement were used to study the charge behavior and formation mechanism of the oilpaper insulation interface. The results show that the evolution of interface charge amount between an oil gap and an oil immersed paper cannot be fully explained by the Maxwell-Wagner-Sillars law. And the evolution of interface charge potentials shares the same trend with the zeta potentials during aging. It demonstrates that there exists strong relation between the Electric Double Layer and interface charge potential.
