This equation is derived from the first-order velocity-stress viscoacoustic equation based on GSLS model with three advantages: (1) no memory variables; (2) separated attenuation and dispersion terms; (3) suitable for treating surface topography by using curvilinear grids (such as orthogonal grids). A stabilization operator is derived and introduced to preventing the high frequency noise from index increasing when calculating the receiver wavefields back propagation. In numerical examples, an attenuating Marmousi model is used to verify the accuracy for imaging the complex attenuating model with surface topography.
