Tight sandstone reservoirs have complicated pore structures, making reservoir evaluations more difficult. Studying effects of different pore structure parameters on electrical properties in tight sandstone will provide foundations for coming up with novel water saturation calculation models in different tight sandstone layers. There are different scales of pores in a tight sandstone, including microscale pores and nanoscale pores. Through combinations of micro-CT, mercury injection capillary pressure tests (MICP) with routine core lab experiments, we reconstructed 3D tight sandstones digital rocks with multiscale pores. Meanwhile, pore network modelling was used to calculate electrical properties, such as rock formation factors and relationships between water saturations and resistivity indexes. We studied five different pore structure parameters, including pore size, throat size, pore-throat size, coordination number and pore shape factor. Results indicate that by increasing pore volume or coordination number, formation factor would decrease, while I-Sw curves have different changes. Increasing pore-throat size will not change electrical current pathway, and I-Sw curve does not change even if the whole porosity is increased. If pore shape is regular, values of formation factor and saturation exponent will be high.
