The results suggest that the resistances corresponding to the bulk pore solution and surface conduction both become smaller in imbibition than in drainage, which suggests the conductive network of brine was in better connection during imbibition. Furthermore, the capacitance reduces largely since the commencement of CO2 drainage whereas it keeps large values during imbibition. These differences are associated with different fluid distributions between drainage and imbibition as shown by CO2 maps calculated on the basis of X-ray CT images.
