As applications, we present a construction of globally convergent power series of integrable Beltrami differentials on Calabi-Yau manifolds and also a construction of global canonical family of holomorphic $(n,0)$-forms on the deformation spaces of Calabi-Yau manifolds. Similar constructions are also applied to the deformation spaces of compact Kahler manifolds.

Abstract:We prove the existence of Kahler-Einstein metric on a K-stable Fano manifold using the recent compactness result on Kahler-Ricci flows. The key ingredient is an algebro-geometric description of the asymptotic behavior of Kahler-Ricci flow on Fano manifolds. This is in turn based on a general finite dimensional discussion, which is interesting in its own and could potentially apply to other problems. As one application, we relate the asymptotics of the Calabi flow on a polarized Kahler manifold to K-stability assuming bounds on geometry.

Abstract:Non Kähler Calabi Yau theory is a newly developed subject and it arises naturally in mathematical physics and generalized geometry. The relevant geometrics are pluriclosed metrics which are critical points of the generalized Einstein Hilbert action. In this work, we study the critical points of the generalized Einstein Hilbert action and discuss the stability of critical points which are defined as pluriclosed steady solitons. We proved that all Bismut Hermitian Einstein manifolds are linearly stable which generalizes the work from Tian, Zhu, Hall, Murphy and Koiso In addition, all Bismut flat pluriclosed steady solitons with positive Ricci curvature are linearly strictly stable.

Abstract:We continue studying a parabolic flow of almost Kähler structures introduced by Streets and Tian which naturally extends Kähler-Ricci flow onto symplectic manifolds. In the system of primarily the symplectic form, almost complex structure, Chern torsion and Chern connection, we establish new formulas for the evolutions of canonical quantities, in particular those related to the Chern connection. Using this, we give an extended characterization of fixed points of the flow originally performed by Streets and Tian.

Abstract:Let $(M, \Omega)$ be a holomorphically symplectic manifold equipped with a holomorphic Lagrangian fibration $\pi: M \to B$, and $\eta$ a closed $(1,1)$-form on $B$. Then $\Omega+ \pi^* \eta$ is a holomorphically symplectic form on a complex manifold which is called the degenerate twistor deformation of $M$. We prove that degenerate twistor deformations of compact holomorphically symplectic Kähler manifolds are also Kähler. First, we prove that degenerate twistor deformations are Hermitian symplectic, that is, tamed by a symplectic form; this is shown using positive currents and an argument based on the Hahn--Banach theorem, originally due to Sullivan. Then we apply a version of Huybrechts's theorem showing that two non-separated points in the Teichmüller space of holomorphically symplectic manifolds correspond to bimeromorphic manifolds if they are Hermitian symplectic.

Abstract:In this paper we will perturb the scalar curvature of compact Kahler manifolds by incorporating it with higher Chern forms, and then show that the perturbed scalar curvature has many common properties with the unperturbed scalar curvature. In particular the perturbed scalar curvature becomes a moment map, with respect to a perturbed symplectic structure, on the space of all complex structures on a fixed symplectic manifold, which extends the results of Donaldson and Fujiki on the unperturbed case.

Abstract:Recently, J. Streets and G. Tian introduced a natural way to evolve an almost-Kähler manifold called the symplectic curvature flow, in which the metric, the symplectic structure and the almost-complex structure are all evolving. We study in this paper different aspects of the flow on locally homogeneous manifolds, including long-time existence, solitons, regularity and convergence. We develop in detail two classes of Lie groups, which are relatively simple from a structural point of view but yet geometrically rich and exotic: solvable Lie groups with a codimension one abelian normal subgroup and a construction attached to each left symmetric algebra. As an application, we exhibit a soliton structure on most of symplectic surfaces which are Lie groups. A family of ancient solutions which develop a finite time singularity was found; neither their Chern scalar nor their scalar curvature are monotone along the flow and they converge in the pointed sense to a (non-Kähler) shrinking soliton solution on the same Lie group.

Abstract:We study the Strominger system with fixed balanced class. We show that classes which are the square of a Kähler metric admit solutions to the system for vector bundles satisfying the necessary conditions. Solutions are constructed by deforming a Calabi-Yau metric and a Hermitian-Yang-Mills metric along a path inside the given cohomology class.

Abstract:In this article we develop a new approach to the problem of the stability of locally conformally Kähler structures (l.c.k structures) under small deformations of complex structures and deformations of flat line bundles. We show that under the certain cohomological condition the stability of l.c.k structures does hold. We apply our approach to Hopf manifolds and its generalizations to obtain the stability of l.c.k structures which do not have potential in general. We give an explicit description of the cohomological obstructions of the stability of l.c.k structures on Inoue surfaces with $b_2=0$.

Abstract:Given an embedded stable hypersurface in a four-dimensional symplectic manifold, we prove that it is stable isotopic to a $C^0$-close stable hypersurface with the following property: $C^\infty$-nearby hypersurfaces are generically unstable. This shows that the stability property is neither open nor generic, independently of the isotopy class of hypersurfaces and ambient symplectic manifold. The proof combines tools from stable Hamiltonian topology with techniques in three-dimensional dynamics such as partial sections, integrability and KAM theory. On our way, we establish non-density properties of Reeb-like flows and a generic non-integrability theorem for cohomologous Hamiltonian structures and volume-preserving fields in dimension three.

Abstract:Using spin$^c$ structure we prove that K\"ahler-Einstein metrics with nonpositive scalar curvature are stable (in the direction of changes in conformal structures) as the critical points of the total scalar curvature functional. Moreover if all infinitesimal complex deformation of the complex structure are integrable, then the K\"ahler-Einstein metric is a local maximal of the Yamabe invariant, and its volume is a local minimum among all metrics with scalar curvature bigger or equal to the scalar curvature of the K\"ahler-Einstein metric.
The generalized Kähler Calabi-Yau problem

Abstract:We formulate an extension of the Calabi conjecture to the setting of generalized Kähler geometry. We show a transgression formula for the Bismut Ricci curvature in this setting, which requires a new local Goto/Kodaira-Spencer deformation result, and use it to show that solutions of the generalized Calabi-Yau equation on compact manifolds are classically Kähler, Calabi-Yau, and furthermore unique in their generalized Kähler class. We show that the generalized Kähler-Ricci flow is naturally adapted to this conjecture, and exhibit a number of a priori estimates and monotonicity formulas which suggest global existence and convergence. For initial data in the generalized Kähler class of a Kähler Calabi-Yau structure we prove the flow exists globally and converges to this unique fixed point. This has applications to understanding the space of generalized Kähler structures, and as a special case yields the topological structure of natural classes of Hamiltonian symplectomorphisms on hyperKähler manifolds. In the case of commuting-type generalized Kähler structures we establish global existence and convergence with arbitrary initial data to a Kähler, Calabi-Yau metric, which yields a new $d d^c$-lemma for these structures.

Abstract:We introduce a cohomological obstruction to solving the constant scalar curvature Kähler (cscK) equation twisted by a semipositive form, appearing in works of Fine and Song-Tian. Geometrically this gives an obstruction for a manifold to be the base of a holomorphic submersion carrying a cscK metric in certain ``adiabatic'' classes. In turn this produces many new examples of general type threefolds with classes which do not admit a cscK representative. When the twist vanishes our obstruction extends the slope stability of Ross-Thomas to effective divisors on a Kähler manifold. Thus we find examples of non-projective slope unstable manifolds.

Abstract:In this paper, we study the Calabi flow on a polarized Kähler manifold and some related problems. We first give a precise statement on the short time existence of the Calabi flow for any c 3,α ( M ) initial Kähler potential. As an application, we prove a stability result: any metric near a constant scalar curvature Kähler (CscK) metric will flow to a nearby CscK metric exponentially fast. Secondly, we prove that a compactness theorem in the space of the Kähler metrics given uniform Ricci bound and potential bound. As an application, we prove the Calabi flow can be extended once Ricci curvature stays uniformly bounded. Lastly, we prove a removing-singularity result about a weak constant scalar curvature metric in a punctured disc.
