Abstract:With the implementation of policies, such as: Opinions of the CPC Central Committee and the State Council on Deepening the Reform of Institutional Mechanisms and Accelerating the Implementation of Innovation-Driven Development Strategies,” “Opinions of the General Office of the State Council on Deepening the Reform of Innovation and Entrepreneurship Education in Colleges and Universities” and the State Council’s “Opinions on Promoting the High-quality Development of Innovation and Entrepreneurship to Create an Upgraded Version of Entrepreneurship and Innovation,” the enthusiasm of local governments and colleges and universities runs high, combined with the provincial situation, the implementation plan for deepening the reform of innovation and entrepreneurship education in higher education institutions is introduced. Under the policy support and active guidance of governments at all levels, the development of innovation and entrepreneurship in China’s colleges and universities has achieved remarkable results.

Abstract:The development model of entrepreneurship education (EE) in China is a typical representation of a government-driven model, and those policies unveiled by the central party and government authorities make big differences. Since 1998, central and local governments have introduced multiple policies promoting the development of entrepreneurship education in China. On the whole, EE policies in China have been increasing year by year, especially after Premier Li Keqiang put forward the slogan of “mass entrepreneurship and innovation” in September 2014 at the Summer Davos. EE policies in China have resulted in explosive growth and directly raised an entrepreneurship wave across the country.

Abstract:This article reviews major national policies and strategies adopted by the Chinese central government to promote entrepreneurship education and also describes the current social and economic background to reveal the motives of entrepreneurship education in mainland China. The core of this article sums up the content of national policies on entrepreneurship education and analyses the initial successes and problems in implementing these policies. Some suggestions for entrepreneurship education in mainland China are proposed in this article.

Abstract:Entrepreneurship education has a close bearing on social and economic progress. In recent years, there is a strong wave of technological revolution induced by mobile Internet, later government giving rise to related policies that encourage innovation and entrepreneurship. However, Chinese universities are still remaining in a stage of exploring and developing time that entrepreneurship education nurtures social and economic development, which we call Entrepreneurship education 1.0 phase. This study proposes the concept of Entrepreneurship Education 2.0. Based on the large-scale survey of innovation and entrepreneurship at Stanford University (2012), it analyses the experience and inspiration of Stanford leading global pioneer in Entrepreneurship Education 2.0 phase from three aspects including sources, institutional guarantee and social and economic influence of entrepreneurship education for the purpose of strategically improving the recognition of entrepreneurship education’s contribution to society and economy and taking measures for Chinese universities to step into Entrepreneurship education 2.0.

Abstract:The entrepreneurship education in Chinese higher institutions has accumulated some experience after ten years of development.However,compared with the great demands of the social economic in China,the development of entrepreneurship education still lags far behind.University students have weak entrepreneurship intention and ability,and also lack entrepreneurship knowledge.Therefore,entrepreneurship education in Chinese higher education institutions should adopt the development idea featuring "concept guidance,classification construction and system guarantee",and establish tridimensional entrepreneurship educational outlook,pay special attention to the construction of teacher team and curriculum which are the two core links,as well as establish the supporting system to promote the optimum development of entrepreneurship education.

Abstract:Innovation and entrepreneurship are increasingly associated with economic, technological and social development (Fagerberg, Fosaas, and Sapprasert 2012 ; Landström, Harirchi, and Åström 2012 ). As countries strive to strengthen their knowledge-based economies, policymaking has focused on how innovation and entrepreneurship activities can accelerate economic growth, promote industrial upgrading and transform employment structures (Bartels et al., 2012 ; World Bank, 2015 ). Universities, as organizations dedicated to knowledge transmission, production and application, have come under heighten pressure to demonstrate their contribution in nurturing talents, spurring innovation and supporting the development of knowledge-based economies (Etzkowitz 2003 ; Jessop 2017 ). Notably, universities' engagement with innovation and entrepreneurship is often conceptualized by the term "entrepreneurial university." This concept refers to universities that vigorously generate additional financial resources to support their operation through commercializing knowledge, forming collaborations beyond academia, and integrating an entrepreneurial culture (Clark 2001 ). The "triple helix model" further highlights the need for universities to engage deeply with industry and government to propel economic and social progress (Etzkowitz and Leydesdorff 2000 ). Undoubtedly, the emergence of such concepts has changed the positioning of universities from a support structure for innovation and entrepreneurship through knowledge generation, research output and personnel training to influential actor and equal partner (Etzkowitz 2003 ).

Abstract:Education plays a fundamental role, through human capital development, in building the innovation capability and ultimately sustainable economic performance and competitiveness of a nation. In its effort to catch up and increase China’s global competitiveness, the Chinese government has embarked on an ambitious development program in recent decades and treats the educational transformation as part of China’s broader development strategy underpinned by innovation. This chapter examines the role of the state in education reform to raise the creativity and innovation capacity of the nation. It discusses characteristics and pitfalls of creativity/innovation education and entrepreneurship education at the primary, secondary, and tertiary levels with reference to teaching objectives, mechanisms/techniques, and effectiveness. It also proposes a number of suggestions for key stakeholders to develop an integrated and effective system of innovation and entrepreneurship education to meet various needs of individuals, communities, and society.

Abstract:Purpose In the era of the digital economy, higher demands are placed on versatile talents, and the cultivation of students with innovative and entrepreneurial abilities has become an important issue for the further development of higher education, thus leading to extensive and in-depth research by many scholars. The study summarizes the characteristics and patterns of dual-innovation education at different stages of development, hoping to provide a systematic model for the development of dual-innovation education in China and make up for the shortcomings. Design/methodology/approach This paper uses Citespace software to visualize and analyze the relevant literature in CNKI and Web of Science databases from a bibliometric perspective, focusing on quantitative analysis in terms of article trends, topic clustering, keyword co-linear networks and topic time evolution, etc., to summarize and sort out the development of innovation and entrepreneurship education research at home and abroad. Findings The study found that the external characteristics of the literature published in the field of bi-innovation education in China and abroad are slightly different, mainly in that foreign publishers are more closely connected and have formed a more stable ecosystem. In terms of research hotspots, China is still in a critical period of reforming its curriculum and teaching model, and research on the integration of specialization and creative education is in full swing, while foreign countries focus more on the cultivation of students' entrepreneurial awareness and the enhancement of individual effectiveness. In terms of cutting-edge analysis, the main research directions in China are "creative education", "new engineering", "integration of industry and education" and "rural revitalization". Originality/value Innovation and entrepreneurship education in China is still in its infancy, and most of the studies lack an overall overview and comparison of foreign studies. Based on the econometric analysis of domestic and foreign literature, this paper proposes a path for domestic innovation and entrepreneurship education reform that can make China's future education reform more effective.

Abstract:Innovation is the powerful headspring that makes the economy and society continue with sustainable development, and how to innovate is a current research issue all over the world. The purposes of this research are to examine Chinese-style innovations and to analyze the influence of Chinese-style innovation on the international market in the current economic times. From multiple perspectives of institutional innovation as well as scientific and technological innovation, the content, characteristics and connotation of Chinese-style innovation are comprehensively expounded and analyzed through the collection, combination and exploration of innovation, especially in Chinese-style innovation literature and interviews with relevant scholars, experts and enterprises. Then, the fit of Chinese-style innovation and characteristics of the new economic era are systematically described. Based on the exploration of international repercussions of Chinese-style innovation from both macro and micro aspects, the mechanism of Chinese-style innovation’s influence on China’s international market is also analyzed. In China, the underlying concept has not been well investigated before, therefore there is a gap in which to do research in this area. In accordance with the current research, a conceptual model for the new economic era, Chinese-style innovation and China’s international repercussions is established. This study finds that the influence of Chinese companies in research and development has significantly improved, the all-round and multi-domain pattern of Chinese enterprises’ overseas development has gradually taken shape, Chinese companies’ overseas social responsibility is growing, the overseas competitiveness of Chinese companies has gradually increased, the overall strength of China’s science and technology has gradually gained international recognition and its international repercussions have improved significantly.
