Abstract:A topological space X has property (DC(omega(1))) if it has a dense subspace every uncountable subset of which has a limit point in X. In this paper, we make some observations on spaces with property (DC(omega(1))). In particular, we prove that the cardinality of a space X with property (DC(omega(1))) does not exceed c if X satisfies one of the following conditions: (1) X is normal and has a rank 2-diagonal; (2) X is perfect and has a rank 2-diagonal; (3) X has a rank 3-diagonal; (4) X is perfect and has countable tightness. We also prove that if X is a regular space with a G(delta)-diagonal and property (DC(omega(1))) then the cardinality of Xis at most 2(c).

Abstract:A topological space X has a rank 2-diagonal if there exists a diagonal sequence on X of rank 2, that is, there is a countable family {U-n: n is an element of w} of open covers of X such that for each x is an element of X, {x} = boolean AND{St(2)(x, U-n): n is an element of w}. We say that a space X satisfies the Discrete Countable Chain Condition (DCCC for short) if every discrete family of nonempty open subsets of X is countable. We mainly prove that if X is a DCCC normal space with a rank 2-diagonal, then the cardinality of X is at most c. Moreover, we prove that if X is a first countable DCCC normal space and has a G(delta)-diagonal, then the cardinality of X is at most c.

Abstract:We say that a space X is dually CCC (respectively, weakly Lindelof, separable) if for any neighbourhood assignment phi on X, there is a CCC (respectively, weakly Lindelof, separable) subspace Y subset of X such that phi(Y) = {phi(y) : y is an element of Y} covers X. In this paper, we mainly show that (1) A dually CCC first countable Hausdorff space has cardinality at most 2(c) and a dually weakly Lindelof first countable normal space has cardinality at most 2(c). (2) Let Y = Pi{Y-i: i <= n}, where Y-i is a scattered monotonically normal space for any i = 0, 1, ..., n. If a subspace X subset of Y is dually CCC then e(X) <= omega and a normal subspace X subset of Y is DCCC if and only if e(X) <= omega. (3) Assume 2(<c) = c. A normal dually CCC space X with chi(X) <= c has extent at most c. (4) A dually separable Hausdorff space X with a G(delta)*-diagonal has extent at most c and a dually separable regular space X with a G(delta)-diagonal has cardinality at most c. Abstract:In this paper, we prove that if X is a space with a regular Gδ-diagonal and X2 is star Lindelöf then the cardinality of X is at most 2c. We also prove that if X is a star Lindelöf space with a symmetric g-function such that {g2(n, x): n ∈ ω} = {x} for each x ∈ X then the cardinality of X is at most 2c. Moreover, we prove that if X is a star Lindelöf Hausdorff space satisfying Hψ(X) = κ then e(X) 22κ; and if X is Hausdorff and we(X) = Hψ(X) = κsubset of a space then e(X) 2κ. Finally, we prove that under V = L if X is a first countable DCCC normal space then X has countable extent; and under MA+¬CH there is an example of a first countable, DCCC and normal space which is not star countable extent. This gives an answer to the Question 3.10 in Spaces with property (DC(ω1)), Comment. Math. Univ. Carolin., 58(1) (2017), 131-135.

Abstract:In this paper, we prove that DCCC is self-dual with respect to neighborhood assignments. Some related results on dually CCC (or dually DCCC) spaces are also obtained. Moreover, we prove that the cardinality of a dually CCC space X is at most 2ω if X satisfies one of the following conditions: (1) X has a rank 2-diagonal; (2) X is first countable and has a Gδ-diagonal; (3) X is first countable and perfect. Finally, we prove that the extent of a first countable dually CCC space is at most 2ω.

Abstract:Let C be the class of all compact Hausdorff spaces and let DC be the class of all discrete unions of compact spaces. We study DC-like spaces, defined using topological games of Galvin, and prove that any countable product of paracompact DC-like spaces is a D space in the sense of van Douwen. As a corollary we show that any countable product of paracompact C scattered spaces is a D space. We also show that any countable product of strong Sigma(#)-spaces is a D-space and that for a fixed integer n, any box product of scattered spaces each with a scattered rank <= n must be a D-space.

Abstract:We show that if X is a regular (D) over bar -scattered space and X is the union of a finite collection of submetacompact spaces, then X is a D-space, where (D) over bar is the class of all D-spaces, hence X is a D-space if X is the union of a finite collection of submetacompact C-scattered spaces, where C is the class of all compact spaces. This gives a positive answer to a question mentioned by Martinez [J.C. Martinez, On finite unions and finite products with the D-property, Topology Appl. 158 (2) (2011) 223-228].In the second part of this note, we show that the product of a finite collection of regular weak (theta) over bar -refinable (or (sub)metacompact) C-scattered spaces and a Lindelof D-space is a D-space. In the last part of this note, we show that if X is a regular meta-Lindelof (D) over bar -scattered space with locally countable extent, then X is a D-space. Abstract:Let X be a space, and P=A:A is a subset of X, and has property P}. A space X is dual the property P if for any neighborhood assignment φ for X, there is a subset A⊂X, A∈P, such that X=∪{φ (x):x∈A}. In this note, we mainly discuss properties of spaces which are dually special P, and also give a necessary and sufficient condition for spaces which are dually special P. These conclusions can be held for many spaces. As a corollary, we have that if X is a regular weak θ̄-refinable (dually discrete)-scattered space, then X is dually discrete. We also get some conclusions conserning aD-spaces.

Abstract:In this paper, we generalize the result that every GO-space is countably-paracompact and prove that every GO-space is inf {cfx ≥ ω1:x ?[LX- X]} -paracom-pact. We obtain that under the normality of product of a topological space and a GO-space and the normality of product of the topological space and a regular uncountable cardinal are equivalent. Based on this two thereoms, we deduce some important theorems.

Abstract:In this paper, we prove that if 2(lambda) < kappa and A subset of [kappa](lambda) is a MADF then the generalized Mrowka space psi(A\B) has no G(lambda) -diagonal, where B subset of A and vertical bar B vertical bar <= lambda. If a topological space X has a regular G(lambda) -diagonal and a local decreasing base of cardinality chi(X) for each x is an element of X, then vertical bar X vertical bar <= 2(dc(X).)(chi(X).lambda) , where dc(X) is the discrete cellularity of X and chi(X) is the character of X. As a corollary, we prove that if X is a DCCC (and hence, DC(omega(1)), weakly Lindelof or star Lindelof) first countable space with a regular G(delta)-diagonal then vertical bar X vertical bar <= 2(omega), which gives a positive answer to a question in [17]. Finally, we give another counterexample to a question of Ginsburg and Woods ([6]), which has nicer properties than the counterexamples constructed in [15] and [16].

Abstract:In this note, we show that if X is the union of a finite collection {Xi:i=1,…,k} of strong Σ-spaces, then X is a D-space. As a corollary, we get a conclusion that if X is the union of a finite collection {Xi:i=1,…,k} of Moore spaces, then X is a D-space. This gives a positive answer to one of Arhangel'skii's problems [A.V. Arhangel'skii, D-spaces and finite unions, Proc. AMS 132 (7) (2004) 2163–2170]. In the last part of the note, we show that if X is the union of a finite collection {Xi:i=1,…,k} of DC-like spaces, then X is a D-space, where DC is the class of all discrete unions of compact spaces. As a corollary, we show that if X is the union of a finite collection of regular subparacompact C-scattered spaces, then X is a D-space.

Abstract:Bal and Kocinac in [2] introduced and studied the class of selectively star-ccc spaces. A space X is called selectively star-ccc if for every open cover U of X and every sequence (A(n) : n is an element of omega) of maximal pairwise disjoint open families in X there exists a sequence (A(n) : n is an element of omega) such that A(n) is an element of A(n) for every n is an element of omega and S-t(U-n is an element of omega A(n), U) = X. In this paper, we prove that: (1) A selectively star-ccc space is DCCC and a selectively star-ccc perfect space is CCC. (2) There exists a pseudocompact (hence, DCCC) space that is not selectively star-ccc. (3) Every selectively star-ccc subspace of the product of finitely many scattered monotonically normal spaces has countable extent. (4) Every selectively star-ccc subspace of omega(omega)(1) has countable extent. (5) Under 2(N0) = 2(N1), there exists a selectively star-ccc normal space having a regular closed G(delta)-subset which is not selectively star-ccc. Abstract:Given a topological property (or a class) P, the class $$P'$$ consists of spaces X such that for any neighbourhood assignment $$\phi $$ on X, there exists a subspace $$Y \subset X$$ with property P for which $$\phi (Y)=\bigcup \{\phi (y): y\in Y\}$$ is dense in X. The class $$P'$$ are called the weak dual ofP or weakly duallyP (with respect to neighbourhood assignments). In this paper, we make several observations on weakly dually Lindelöf spaces. We prove that a Baire weakly dually Lindelöf o-semimetrizable space is separable. There exists a large first countable Hausdorff space X having a countable subset A such that $$\phi (A)$$ is dense in X for any neighborhood assignment $$\phi $$ of X, which answers two questions asked by Alas et al. (Topol Proc 30:25–38, 2006). We also prove that a weakly dually Lindelöf first countable normal space has cardinality at most $$2^{\mathfrak {c}}$$. Every Baire, weakly dually Lindelöf space X with a symmetry g-function g such that $$\bigcap \{g^2(n,x): n\in \omega \}=\{x\}$$ for each $$x\in X$$ has cardinality at most $$\mathfrak {c}$$. Finally, we prove that every separated subset of a weakly dually Lindelöf normal space with a $$G_\delta $$-diagonal has cardinality at most $$\mathfrak {c}$$. Some new questions are also posed.

Abstract:It is shown that the space Cp(τω) is a D-space for any ordinal number τ, where τω={α⩽τ:cf(α)⩽ω}. This conclusion gives a positive answer to R.Z. Buzyakova's question. We also prove that another special example of Lindelöf space is a D-space. We discuss the D-property of spaces with point-countable weak bases. We prove that if a space X has a point-countable weak base, then X is a D-space. By this conclusion and one of T. Hoshina's conclusion, we have that if X is a countably compact space with a point-countable weak base, then X is a compact metrizable space. In the last part, we show that if a space X is a finite union of θ-refinable spaces, then X is a αD-space.

Abstract:In this note we firstly show that if X is a a-product of Lindelof Sigma-spaces, then C-p(X) is a semi-monotonically monolithic space and hence it is monolithic.In the second part of this note we show that if {X-alpha: alpha E is an element of A} is a family of topological spaces such that x, is a D-space for each n E N and alpha(1) is an element of Lambda for each i n, then any sigma-product of {X-n : alpha is an element of Lambda} is a D-space. This generalizes a. conclusion of A.V. Arhangel'skii. By this conclusion and a known conclusion we have that any sigma-product of regular weak (theta) over bar -refinable (or (sub)metacompact) C-scattered spaces is a D-space. We also show that if Y is a dense subspace of a topological space X with vertical bar X \ Y vertical bar <= omega such that C (Y) is monotonically monolithic, then C-p(X) is monotonically monolithic.In the last part of this note we show that if X has a k-in-countable weak base for some k E N then X is a D-space.
