Abstract:In the polymeric title compound, [Pb(C6H4NO2)(2)-C6H6N4S2)](n), the Pb-II ion is located on a twofold axis and coordinated by one N,N'-bidentate diaminobithiazole (DABT) ligand and four O-monodentate isonicotinate anions in a very distorted cis-PbN2O4 octahedral geometry. The carboxylate group of the isonicotinate anion bridges two PbII ions, forming a polymeric chain. The complete DABT molecule is generated by twofold symmetry; its two thiazole rings are twisted with a dihedral angle of 9.5 (2)degrees. There are no pi-pi stacking interactions in the title compound, but N-H center dot center dot center dot O and N-H center dot center dot center dot N hydrogen bonds help to stabilize the structure.

Abstract:A novel Mn(II) complex bridged by 1,3-benzenedicarboxylate (BDC) has been synthesized by the diffusion method. The complex crystallizes in space group P2(1)/c with a=8.345(2), b=10.427(1), c=18.756(2) Angstrom, beta =100.19(1)degrees. Each BDC bridges three Mn(II) atoms through two carboxyl groups with different coordination modes to form a complex polymeric chain. The coordination geometry around the Mn(II) atom is seriously distorted from the normal octahedron. Large deviations of the donor atoms out of the coordination planes and unexpected bond angles around Mn(II) and donor O atoms suggest the existence of an electrostatic interaction between Mn(II) and donor atoms in the complex. Close stacking of aromatic rings is observed in the complex, the distance between the neighboring phen planes being 3.2085 Angstrom.

Abstract:In the title polymeric compound, [Pb(C12H8N2)(C7H4O5S)](n)center dot-nH(2)O, the seven-coordinate Pb-II atom is surrounded by one 1,10-phenanthroline ( phen) and four 4-sulfonatobenzoate (sb) ligands in a hemidirected coordination geometry. Both the sulfonyl and carboxy groups of the sb ligand bridge the neighboring Pb-II atoms to form a two-dimensional sheet structure.

Abstract:In the crystal structure of the title compound, [Pb(2)(C(4)H(5)NO(4))(2)(C(6)H(6)N(4)S(2))(2)]·4H(2)O, the dinuclear Pb(II) complex mol-ecule is centrosymmetric. The Pb atom is chelated by a tridentate imino-diacetate anion (IDA) and a diamino-bithia-zole (DABT) ligand, while a carboxyl-ate O atom from an adjacent IDA anion further bridges the Pb atom with a longer Pb-O bond [2.892 (3) Å]. The lone-pair electrons of the Pb atom occupy an axial site in the Ψ-penta-gonal-bipyramidal coordination polyhedron. The IDA anion displays a facial configuration: its chelating five-membered rings assume an envelope configuration. Within the DABT ligand, the two thia-zole rings are twisted relative to each other, making a dihedral angle of 9.51 (17)°. Extensive N-H⋯O, O-H⋯O and weak C-H⋯O hydrogen bonding helps to stabilize the crystal structure.

Abstract:In the title polymer, [Pb(C9H4O6)]n, the asymmetric unit contains a monomer of a Pb(II) cation with a doubly deprotonated 3-carboxybenzene-1,2-dicarboxylate dianion (1,2,3-Hbtc(2-)). Each Pb(II) centre is seven-coordinated by seven O atoms of bridging carboxy/carboxylate groups from five 1,2,3-Hbtc(2-) ligands, forming a distorted pentagonal bipyramid. The Pb(II) cations are bridged by 1,2,3-Hbtc(2-) anions, yielding two-dimensional chiral layers. The layers are stacked above each other to generate a three-dimensional supramolecular architecture via a combination of C-H···O interactions. The thermogravimetric and optical properties are also reported.

Abstract:In the title compound, [Pb(NO3)2(C6H6N4S2)2]·2H2O, the PbII cation is N,N′-chelated by two 2,2′-diamino-4,4′-bi-1,3-thiazole (DABT) ligands and further is cis coordinated by two nitrate anions in a distorted PbN4O2 octahedral geometry. One of the uncoordinated water molecules is close to an inversion center and is disordered equally over two sites. Intramolecular N—H...N and N—H...O interactions are present. An extensive hydrogen-bonding network of types N—H...O, O—H...O, O—H...N and O—H...S consolidates the crystal structure.

Abstract:In the title polymeric complex, [Mn(C7H5O3)2(C12H8N2)]n, the MnII atom is located on a twofold axis and displays a distorted octahedral coordination geometry, formed by four salicylate anions and one 1,10-phenanthroline (phen) molecule. The salicylate anions doubly bridge the Mn(II) atoms to form one-dimensional polymeric chains. A comparison of Mn-O bond distances with the corresponding Mn-O-C angles suggests a significant electrostatic content in the Mn-O bonds. A face-to-face distance of 3.352 (7) A between neighbouring parallel phen planes indicates pi-pi stacking interactions between polymeric chains.

Abstract:The title polymeric complex [Co(C8H4O4)(C7H6N2)(2)](n) has been prepared and its crystal structure was determined by X-ray diffraction method. The crystal belongs to monoclinic, space group C2/c with a = 7.7865(12), b = 20.4215(18), c = 13.4880(14) angstrom, beta = 103.298(2)degrees, V = 2087.3 (4) angstrom(3), M-r = 459.32, Z = 4, D-c= 1.462 g/cm(3), mu = 0.859 mm(-1), F(000) = 940, R = 0.0636 and wR = 0. 1639 for 1278 observed reflections (I > 2 sigma(I)). The complex assumes a distorted tetrahedral coordination geometry, formed by two phthalate anions and two benzimidazoles (bzim). The phthalate anions bridge the neighboring Co(II) atoms to form the polymeric chains. The centroid distance of 3.471(3) angstrom between the parallel bzim rings of adjacent polymeric chains suggests the existence of pi-pi stacking.
