Abstract:In the crystal structure of the title compound, [Pb(2)(C(4)H(5)NO(4))(2)(C(6)H(6)N(4)S(2))(2)]·4H(2)O, the dinuclear Pb(II) complex mol-ecule is centrosymmetric. The Pb atom is chelated by a tridentate imino-diacetate anion (IDA) and a diamino-bithia-zole (DABT) ligand, while a carboxyl-ate O atom from an adjacent IDA anion further bridges the Pb atom with a longer Pb-O bond [2.892 (3) Å]. The lone-pair electrons of the Pb atom occupy an axial site in the Ψ-penta-gonal-bipyramidal coordination polyhedron. The IDA anion displays a facial configuration: its chelating five-membered rings assume an envelope configuration. Within the DABT ligand, the two thia-zole rings are twisted relative to each other, making a dihedral angle of 9.51 (17)°. Extensive N-H⋯O, O-H⋯O and weak C-H⋯O hydrogen bonding helps to stabilize the crystal structure.

Abstract:In the polymeric title compound, [Pb(C6H4NO2)(2)-C6H6N4S2)](n), the Pb-II ion is located on a twofold axis and coordinated by one N,N'-bidentate diaminobithiazole (DABT) ligand and four O-monodentate isonicotinate anions in a very distorted cis-PbN2O4 octahedral geometry. The carboxylate group of the isonicotinate anion bridges two PbII ions, forming a polymeric chain. The complete DABT molecule is generated by twofold symmetry; its two thiazole rings are twisted with a dihedral angle of 9.5 (2)degrees. There are no pi-pi stacking interactions in the title compound, but N-H center dot center dot center dot O and N-H center dot center dot center dot N hydrogen bonds help to stabilize the structure.

The asymmetric unit contains two Cd complex units, and both Cd-II atoms have the same distorted octahedral coordination geometry. Each phthalate dianion bridges two Cd atoms through the two terminal carboxy groups, one in a monodentate fashion and the other in a chelating mode, thus forming zigzag polymeric chains; pi-pi stacking occurs between neighboring chains. The bond angle involving the chelating carboxy group is large, but the corresponding bond distance is normal. This implies the existence of an electrostatic interaction between the Cd-II atoms and the carboxy groups.

Each CuII ion is coordinated by five O atoms [Cu - O = 1.968 (2)-2.268 (3) Å] in a trigonal-bipyramidal geometry. Abstract:The title compound, [CoNa4(C8H3O7S)(2)(H2O)(12)](n), is a three-dimensional coordination polymer bridged by sulfoisophthalate trianions and water molecules. The Co-II atom, located on an inversion centre, is coordinated by two carboxylate groups of the sulfoisophthalate trianions and by four water molecules in a distorted CoO6 octahedral geometry. Two independent Na-I atoms also have a distorted octahedral coordination geometry formed by water, carboxylate O and sulfonate O atoms. An extensive O-H center dot center dot center dot O and C-H center dot center dot center dot O hydrogen-bonding network is present in the crystal structure, as well as weak pi-pi stacking [centroid-centroid distance = 3.9553 (11) angstrom].

Abstract:The crystal structure of the title compound, [Co(C3H2O4)(C7H6N2)(H2O)]n, consists of two-dimensional polymeric CoII complex layers. The octahedral coordination around a CoII atom is composed of a chelate malonate, two monodentate malonate anions from the adjacent asymmetric unit, a bezimidazole ligand and a coordinated water molecule. Each malonate dianion links three CoII atoms related by an n-glide plane to form polymeric layers in the (010) plane. π–π stacking of the benzimidazole ligands occurs between adjacent polymeric layers, the separation between parallel benzimidazole rings being 3.42 (2) A.
