Abstract:We calculate the two-pion and two-kaon exchange potentials of D (D) over bar and D (D) over bar* by using the Gaussian form factor to regularize loop integrals. Although the magnitude of the two-pseudo-goldstone exchange is small as expected, it is not negligible in dynamics because it modifies the shape of the potential. We find the bound state of D (D) over bar* starts to appear at the cut-off Lambda = 1360 MeV after consideration of the two-pseudo-goldstone exchange, significantly reducing the discrepancy between chiral perturbation theory and other phenomenological approaches.

Abstract:The invariant mass spectra of the $pp\pi^-$ and $pp$ systems produced in the double charge exchange (DCX) of positively charged pions on photoemulsion are analysed. A pronounced peak is observed in the $pp\pi^-$ invariant mass spectrum, while the $M_{pp}$ spectrum exhibits a strong Migdal-Watson effect of the proton-proton final state interaction. These findings are in favor of the $NN$-decoupled $NN\pi$ pseudoscalar resonance with T=0 called $d'$.

Abstract:QCD sum rules are employed to determine whether the $X(3872)$ can be described as a mixed state that couples to ${J}^{PC}={1}^{++}$ charmonium hybrid and $\overline{D}{D}^{*}$ molecular currents. After calculating the mixed correlator of hybrid and molecular currents, we formulate the sum rule in terms of a mixing parameter that interpolates between the pure molecular and hybrid scenarios. As the mixing parameter is increased from the pure molecular case, the predicted mass increases until it reaches a maximum value in good agreement with the $X(3872)$ and the resulting sum-rule analysis appears more robust than the pure molecular case.

Abstract:Dynamics of the nuclear fragmentations and the charge exchange reactions in pion-nucleus collisions near the $\Delta$(1232) resonance energies has been investigated within the Lanzhou quantum molecular dynamics (LQMD) transport model. An isospin, momentum and density-dependent pion-nucleon potential is implemented in the model, which influences the pion dynamics, in particular the kinetic energy spectra, but weakly impacts the fragmentation mechanism. The absorption process in pion-nucleon collisions to form the $\Delta$(1232) resonance dominates the heating mechanism of target nucleus. The excitation energy transferred to the target nucleus increases with the pion kinetic energy and is similar for both $\pi^{-}$ and $\pi^{+}$ induced reactions. The magnitude of fragmentation of target nucleus weakly depends on the pion energy. The isospin ratio in the pion double charge exchange is influenced by the isospin ingredient of target nucleus.

Abstract:The inclusive pion double charge exchange (DCX) on oxygen nuclei has been measured in the region where additional pion production is kinematically forbidden. The experiment was performed at ITEP PS at incident pi- kinetic energies T_0= 0.59, 0.75 and 1.1 GeV. The integrated forward differential cross section was found to decrease with energy slowly. At 1.1 GeV it exceeds the theoretical prediction within the conventional sequential single charge exchange mechanism with a neutral pion in the intermediate state (Glauber elastic rescattering) by about half an order of magnitude. The sequential mechanism with two pions in the intermediate state (Glauber inelastic rescatterings), which was proposed recently, seems to be able to explain the observed slow energy dependence and allows to predict the DCX cross section for higher energies.

Abstract:The interaction mediated by irreducible pion and gluon exchange between constituent quarks is calculated and shown to have a strong tensor component, which tends to cancel the pion exchange tensor interaction between quarks. Its spin-spin component is somewhat weaker than the pion exchange spin-spin interaction, while its central and spin-orbit components are small in comparison to the corresponding single gluon exchange interactions. The combination of the $\pi-$gluon exchange interaction with the single pion exchange interaction and a weak gluon exchange interaction between constituent quarks has the qualitative features required for understanding the hyperfine splittings of the spectra of the nucleon and the $\Delta$ resonances.

Abstract:In this paper, we investigate the color changes of gravitational microlensing events caused by the two different mechanisms of differential amplification for a limb-darkened extended source and blending. From this investigation, we find that the color changes of limb-darkened extended source events (color curves) have dramatically different characteristics depending on whether the lens transits the source star or not. We show that for a source transit event, the lens proper motion can be determined by simply measuring the turning time of the color curve instead of fitting the overall color or light curves. We also find that even for a very small fraction of blended light, the color changes induced by the blending effect is equivalent to those caused by the limb-darkening effect, causing serious distortion in the observed color curve. Therefore, to obtain useful information about the lens and source star from the color curve of a limb-darkened extended source event, it will be essential to eliminate or correct for the blending effect. We discuss about the methods for the efficient correction of the blending effect.

Medium recoil mode of $Δ$ production in single isobaric charge-exchange reactions

Abstract:The dynamic mechanisms underlying single charge-exchange reactions have been investigated using a theoretical framework that combines the Isospin-dependent Quantum Molecular Dynamics (IQMD) model with the statistical decay model GEMINI++. Two distinct channels contribute to the single isobaric charge-exchange reaction: quasi-elastic channel, where neutron-proton scattering drives the charge-exchange, and inelastic channel, where the $\Delta$ particle is produced during the process. In a referenced study [<a class="link-external link-http" href="http://Phys.RevC" rel="external noopener nofollow">this http URL</a> 106.014618(2022)], experimental data have revealed that the inelastic channel accounts for approximately 50 percent of the single isobaric charge-exchange reaction. However, our current model fails in reproducing the significant contribution of inelastic channel unless the novel medium recoil mode associated with $\Delta$ production is considered in the calculations. Notably, this in-medium effect arising from inelastic nucleon-nucleon collisions is not yet incorporated into mainstream microscopic transport models. The dynamical properties of protons and pions emitting in the single isobaric charge-exchange reactions are predicted. This exploration of in-medium effects adds a valuable dimension to our understanding of the intricate dynamics involved in single charge-exchange reactions.

Abstract:We explore the quantum electrodynamic (QED) corrections to the Xi(+)(c) - Xi('+)(c) mixing within the framework of light-front quark model (LFQM) in the three-quark picture. After explicitly investigating the relation between the Xi(+)(c) - Xi('+)(c) mixing and the flavor SU(3) and heavy quark symmetry breaking, we derive the QED contributions to the Xi(+)(c) - Xi('+)(c) mixing angle. Numerical results indicate the QED contribution is smaller than the one from the mass difference between the strange and up/down quark provided by a recent lattice quantum chromodynamics analysis. Adding these contributions together we find that at this stage the Xi(+)(c) - Xi('+)(c) mixing is small and still incapable to account for the large SU(3) symmetry breaking in the semileptonic Xi(c) decays.
Finding Interaction Mechanism between Exotic Molecule and Conventional Hadron

Abstract:An intriguing and important question arises: how do hadronic molecules interact with conventional hadrons? In this Letter, we propose a novel mechanism to address this issue, focusing on the interactions between hidden-charm molecular pentaquarks ($P_c$) and nucleons ($N$). By applying this mechanism, we derive the corresponding interaction potentials, enabling the prediction of the bound state properties. Our results indicate the possible existence of $P_cN$ bound states--an entirely new form of matter, ripe for exploration in the era of high-precision hadron spectroscopy. Notably, this mechanism extends beyond the $P_cN$ systems and can be applied to any hadronic molecules interacting with conventional hadrons, offering the potential for discovering a variety of novel bound states.

Doubly heavy hadrons production in ultraperipheral collision

Abstract:We study the double heavy baryon $\Xi_{QQ'}$ and tetraquark $T_{QQ}$ production through photon-photon and photon-gluon fusion via ultraperipheral collisions at the LHC and FCC within the framework of nonrelativistic QCD factorization formalism. Various ion-ion collisions are taken into account, two cc(bb)-diquark configurations ($[cc(bb),{^3S_1}\mbox{-}\bar{\bm{3}}]$ and $[cc(bb),{^1S_0}\mbox{-}\bm{6}]$) and four bc-diquark configurations ($[bc,{^3S_1}\mbox{-}\bar{\bm{3}}]$, $[bc,{^3S_1}\mbox{-}\bm{6}]$, $[bc,{^1S_0}\mbox{-}\bar{\bm{3}}]$ and $[bc,{^1S_0}\mbox{-}\bm{6}]$) are considered in the calculation. Numerical results indicate that the $[cc,{^3S_1}\mbox{-}\bar{\bm{3}}]$ diquark provides dominant contribution for $\Xi_{cc}$ ($T_{cc}$) production, and a considerable number of $\Xi_{cc}$ ($T_{cc}$) can be produced. Due to the event topologies for ultraperipheral collision are very clear, the background from various QCD interactions can be suppressed, hence the experimental investigation for $\Xi_{cc}$ and $T_{cc}$ are feasible. The productions for $\Xi_{bc/bb}$ are also discussed, leaving only slightly possibility for $\Xi_{bc}$ through photon-gluon fusion with ultraperipheral collisions at the FCC.

Abstract:We study the two point correlation function of two nucleon currents sandwiched between the vacuum and the pion state. The light cone QCD sum rules are derived for the pi NN coupling g(pi NN) and the pi NN(1535) coupling g(pi NN*). The contribution from the excited states and die continuum is subtracted cleanly through the double Borel transform with respect to the two external momenta p(1)(2), p(2)(2)=(p-q)(2). We first improve the original sum rule for g(pi NN) and determine the value of the pion wave function phi(pi)(u(0) = 1/2) = 1.5+/-0.2, which is a fundamental nonperturbative quantity similar to the quark condensate. Our calculation shows that the pi NN(1535) coupling is strongly suppressed. [S0556-2813(99)00301-5].

Abstract:We investigate the role of a dynamical gluon in the pion within the Basis Light-Front Quantization (BLFQ) framework and compare it with the solution of the Minkowski space Bethe-Salpeter equation, focusing on contributions beyond the valence state. Particularly in BLFQ, we identify the effect on the pion structure of the dynamical chiral symmetry breaking by the enhancement of the spin-flip matrix element, through the $|q\bar qg\rangle$ component of the light-front wave function and associated gluon parton distribution function (PDF). We explicitly show an enhancement of the low-$x$ contribution in the quark PDF associated with the large spin-flip matrix element, necessary to provide the $\pi-\rho$ mass splitting.

Abstract:The strong interaction between heavy quarks and the quark gluon plasma makes the open and hidden charm hadrons be sensitive probes of the deconfinement phase transition in high energy nuclear collisions. Both the cold and hot nuclear matter effects change with the colliding energy and significantly influence the heavy quark and charmonium yield and their transverse momentum distributions. The ratio of averaged quarkonium transverse momentum square and the elliptic flow reveal the nature of the QCD medium created in heavy ion collisions at SPS, RHIC and LHC energies.

Abstract:A generalized formalism of QCD multipole expansion including constituent-quark-field quantization is proposed. It can be applied to study soft-gluon emission processes of heavy-quark-antiquark systems with quark-flavor changing or quark pair annihilation. As an application, the radiative decays $\frac{J}{\ensuremath{\psi}}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}\ensuremath{\gamma}+\ensuremath{\eta}$ and $\frac{J}{\ensuremath{\psi}}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}\ensuremath{\gamma}+{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{0}$ are studied in this framework. It is shown that $\frac{J}{\ensuremath{\psi}}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}\ensuremath{\gamma}+\ensuremath{\eta}$ is dominated by a vector-meson-dominance mechanism in which the vector mesons are $n^{3}S_{1}$ states of $c\overline{c}$ and the calculated rate is in agreement with the experiment. The decay $\frac{J}{\ensuremath{\psi}}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}\ensuremath{\gamma}+{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{0}$ is dominated by a different vector-meson-dominance mechanism in which the vector meson is ${\ensuremath{\rho}}^{0}$.
