Abstract:The 2/1 adduct of 4-chlorobenzoato-silver(I) and piperazine, [Ag-2(ClC6H4COO)(2)(C4H10N2)](n), adopts a chain structure in which the Ag atom is linked to one chlorobenzoate anion, one piperazine heterocycle and another Ag atom. The two Ag atoms exist in tetrahedral environments.

Abstract:A polymeric complex of Cd(II) and Ag(I) bridged by thiocyanate and ethylenediamine, [Cd(en)1.5Ag(SCN)3], has been prepared and its structure determined by X-ray diffraction methods. The complex crystallizes in space group P21/n with a =7.456(1), b =9.915(2), c =19.822(2)Å, β =98.94(1)°. The Cd(II) atom is octahedrally coordinated by three SCN- anions and two en molecules, while the Ag(I) atom is tetrahedraly coordinated by four SCN- anions. Both SCN- anions and en molecules act as bridging ligands and link Ag(I) and Cd(II) atoms to form a three-dimensional polymeric structure. The distance between Ag(I) and the atom S of a 1,1,3-µ3-SCN- anion is much longer than that between Ag(I) and the atom S of a 1,3-µ-SCN- anion. The short Ag-Ag distance of 3.133 Å and small Ag-S-Ag angle of 70.92° strongly suggests the existence of an Ag-Ag bonding interaction in the complex.

Each Ag-I ion is three-coordinated by N atoms of three different pyrazine ligands, forming a T-shaped coordination configuration. In the crystal structure, uncoordinated water molecules are linked to trifluoromethanesulfonate anions through intermolecular O - H ... O hydrogen bonds. There are weaker Ag ... O interactions involving the water and sulfonate O atoms.

Abstract:This work is a reinvestigation of a previously reported structure [Zhu & Ng (2004). Acta Cryst. E60, m939-m940], where the crystal measured was twinned. The title compound, [Ag(C2F3O2)(C5H6N2)](n), is a polymeric silver(I) complex. Each Ag I atom is in a tetrahedral configuration and is four-coordinated by two O atoms of two 3-fluoroacetate anions and two N atoms of two 2-methylpyrazine ligands. The 3-fluoroacetate anion and the 2-methylpyrazine ligand both act as bidentate bridging ligands and coordinate to the Ag-I atoms through the carboxylate O atoms and the pyridine N atoms, respectively, forming a three-dimensional network.

H2O, lies about an inversion center, with the water molecule on a twofold rotation axis, and the Ag-I atom is three- coordinated by two O atoms from two different but symmetry- related 4-chlorobenzoate anions and one N atom from one 2- aminopyridine ligand. The 4- chlorobenzoate anion acts as a bidentate ligand, bridging two inversion- related Ag atoms of the complex and forming a dimer. In the crystal structure, the molecules are linked through intramolecular and intermolecular N - H ... O and O - H ... O hydrogen bonds, forming two- dimensional layers parallel to the bc plane.

Abstract:The title compound, {[Ag2(C2H8N 2)3][Ag2(C8H10-N 2O3)2]·2H2O}n, consists of one-dimensional polymeric silver(I) complex anionic chains, discrete dinuclear silver(I) complex cations and solvent water molecules. In the anionic chain, each AgI atom is coordinated by two deprotonated N atoms from two barbiturate ligands in a perfectly linear geometry. In the dinuclear silver(I) complex cation, each AgI atom, in a Y-shaped coordination environment, is coordinated by three N atoms from two ethylenediamine molecules. Each AgI ion is four-coordinated by three N atoms from one tren ligand and one N atom from a symmetry-related tren ligand.
