Abstract:The title complex, [Ag-2(C7H5O2)(2)(C18H18F2N2)](n), is a dinuclear silver(l) compound with one inversion centre between pairs of Ag atoms and another at the mid-point of the central C-C bond in the butane-1,4-diamine moiety. Each of the smallest repeat units consists of two silver(l) cations, two benzoate anions and one N,N'-bis(2-fluorobenzylidene)butane-1,4-diamine Schiff base ligand. Abstract:The title compound, {[Ag2(C2H8N 2)3][Ag2(C8H10-N 2O3)2]·2H2O}n, consists of one-dimensional polymeric silver(I) complex anionic chains, discrete dinuclear silver(I) complex cations and solvent water molecules. In the anionic chain, each AgI atom is coordinated by two deprotonated N atoms from two barbiturate ligands in a perfectly linear geometry. In the dinuclear silver(I) complex cation, each AgI atom, in a Y-shaped coordination environment, is coordinated by three N atoms from two ethylenediamine molecules. Abstract:The crystal structure of the title compound, [Ni(C4H4O4)( C7H6N2)(2)(H2O)(2)](n), consists of a polymeric Ni-II complex bridged by succinate dianions. The Ni atom is located at a crystallographic inversion center. Both carboxyl groups of the succinate coordinate, in monodentate fashion, to the neighboring Ni-II atoms to form one-dimensional chains, and the chains link to each other via hydrogen bonds between the benzimidazole and carboxyl group to form a two-dimensional supramolecular structure. The overlapped arrangement of parallel benzimidazole ligands, with a separation of 3.350 (3) Angstrom, suggests the existence of pi-pi-stacking interactions between adjacent chains.

Abstract:In the polymeric title complex, [Cd(C2H4NO2)Cl-(C6H6N4S2)](n), the glycinate anions bridge neighbouring Cd-II ions to form zigzag chains along the b axis direction. The Cd-II ion is coordinated by two glycinate ions (one O-monodentate and one N, O-bidentate), a Cl- ion and a bidentate diaminobithiazole ligand in a distorted octahedral geometry. Various N-(HO)-O-... and N-(HCl)-Cl-... hydrogen bonds between adjacent complex chains help to consolidate the crystal packing.

The Ag atom is bicoordinated in a linear configuration by two N atoms from two symmetry-related ethylenediamine ligands, giving linear polymeric chains with [-Ag-N-C-C-N-](n) backbones running parallel to the b axis. In the crystal packing, these linear chains are interconnected by N-H...O and O-H...O hydrogen bonds, and by weak Ag...OW interactions, forming layers parallel to the ab plane.

Abstract:In the title compound, [Ag(C8H10NO3S)(C10H14N4)], each AgI cation is three-coordinated by two N atoms from two different 1,1′-(butane-1,4-diyl)diimidazole ligands (bbi), and one sulfonate O atom from one 2-amino-3,5-dimethylbenzenesulfonate (L) anion in a distorted trigonal–planar geometry. Each bbi molecule acts as a bidentate ligand that binds two AgI atoms, thus forming a one-dimensional chain. The L anions are attached on both sides of the chain through Ag—O bonds. Finally, N—H⋯O hydrogen bonds link the chains together, reinforcing the crystal cohesion.

Abstract:The crystal structure determination of the title complex, [Ag-2(C7H5O2)(2)(C6H12N2)](n), reveals a slightly distorted T geometry for the Ag-I atom, coordinated by an N atom from a 1,4-diazabicyclo[2.2.2] octane ligand and two O atoms from two benzoate anions. The dibenzoatodisilver(I) and 1,4-diazabicyclo[ 2.2.2] octane units lie across crystallographic inversion centres. The carboxyl groups in the complex behave in a eta(1):eta(1):mu(2) fashion, bridging adjacent Ag atoms to form one-dimensional chains.
