Abstract:Nanometer-sized SnO(2) powders was synthesized at low decomposing temperature by polyacrylamide gel method. SnCl, was used as starting material, acrylamide and N, N'-methylenediacrylamide were used as initiator and lattice reagent. The best condition to prepare gel and the optimal temperature decomposed were studied by controlling the reagent concentration, weight ratio of the reactants, temperature. The prepared powders were analyzed by XRD, TEM, and FT-1R. The results showed that the even size of SnO(2) powders is 25-35nm, the specific surface is 28-38m(2)/g. There are no impurity peaks in products spectrogram analyzed by infrared spectrum analysis which is sintered at 500 degrees C when the ratio of initiator and lattice reagent is 5: 1. As the crystallization tends to be completely, corresponding 666cm-1 absorption peak strength is enhanced. Through the TEM analysis, we can see that the products have sphere-like particles, small particle diameter, uniform particle size distribution and good dispersion property as well as no obvious hard agglomeration when the the ratio of initiator and lattice reagent is 5:1 Based on XRD analyzing, only a single phase belonged to the nanometer SnO(2) powders is observed, and no extraneous phase is emerged when the reactants is sintered at 500 degrees C and the ratio of initiator and lattice reagent is 5:1 for the polyacrylamide gel method.
