Abstract:Recently it was observed by one of the authors that supersymmetric quantum mechanics (SUSYQM) admits a formulation in terms of only one bosonic degree of freedom. Such a construction, called the minimally bosonized SUSYQM, appeared in the context of integrable systems and dynamical symmetries. We show that the minimally bosonized SUSYQM can be obtained from Witten's SUSYQM by applying to it a nonlocal unitary transformation with a subsequent reduction to one of the eigenspaces of the total reflection operator. The transformation depends on the parity operator, and the deformed Heisenberg algebra with reflection, intimately related to parabosons and parafermions, emerges here in a natural way. It is shown that the minimally bosonized SUSYQM can also be understood as supersymmetric two-fermion system. With this interpretation, the bosonization construction is generalized to the case of N=1 supersymmetry in 2 dimensions. The same special unitary transformation diagonalises the Hamiltonian operator of the 2D massive free Dirac theory. The resulting Hamiltonian is not a square root like in the Foldy-Wouthuysen case, but is linear in spatial derivative. Subsequent reduction to `up' or `down' field component gives rise to a linear differential equation with reflection whose `square' is the massive Klein-Gordon equation. In the massless limit this becomes the self-dual Weyl equation. The linear differential equation with reflection admits generalizations to higher dimensions and can be consistently coupled to gauge fields. The bosonized SUSYQM can also be generated applying the nonlocal unitary transformation to the Dirac field in the background of a nonlinear scalar field in a kink configuration.

Abstract:In this paper, we construct a Darboux transformation and the related Bäcklund transformation for the supersymmetric Sawada-Kotera (SSK) equation. The associated nonlinear superposition formula is also worked out. We demonstrate that these are natural extensions of the similar results of the Sawada-Kotera equation and may be applied to produce the solutions of the SSK equation. Also, we present two semi-discrete systems and show that the continuum limit of one of them goes to the SKK equation.

Abstract:The connection between supersymmetric quantum mechanics and the Korteweg- de Vries (KdV) equation is discussed, with particular emphasis on the KdV conservation laws. It is shown that supersymmetric quantum mechanics aids in the derivation of the conservation laws, and gives some insight into the Miura transformation that converts the KdV equation into the modified KdV equation. The construction of the $\tau$-function by means of supersymmetric quantum mechanics is discussed.

Abstract:In this paper we study systematically the question of supersymmetrization of the non-local gas equation. We obtain both the N=1 and the N=2 supersymmetric generalizations of the system which are integrable. We show that both the systems are bi-Hamiltonian. While the N=1 supersymmetrization allows the hierarchy of equations to be extended to negative orders (local equations), we argue that this is not the case for the N=2 supersymmetrization. In the bosonic limit, however, the N=2 system of equations lead to a new coupled integrable system of equations.

Abstract:For the supersymmetric KdV equation, a proper Darboux transformation is presented. This Darboux transformation leads to the Bäcklund transformation found earlier by Liu and Xie (2004 Phys. Lett. A 325 139–43). The Darboux transformation and the related Bäcklund transformation are used to construct integrable super differential–difference and difference–difference systems. The continuum limits of these discrete systems and of their Lax pairs are also considered.

Abstract:In this Letter, we propose a supersymmetric KdV–Sawada–Kotera–Ramani equation. Based on a super-Riemann theta function, we devise a lucid and straightforward way for explicitly constructing a quasi-periodic wave solution of the supersymmetric KdV–Sawada–Kotera-Ramani equation. In addition, a one-soliton solution is obtained as a limiting case of the periodic wave solution under small amplitude. Indeed different from the purely bosonic case, the quasi-periodic wave observed shows that there is an “influencing band” among the waves under the presence of the Grassmann variable. The waves are symmetric about the band but collapse along with the band. Furthermore, the amplitudes of the waves increase as the waves move away from the band.

Abstract:The N=1 supersymmetric mKdV-B system is transformed to a system of coupled bosonic equations by using the bosonization approach. The bosonized supersymmetric mKdV-B (BSmKdV-B) equation includes the usual mKdV equation and a linear partial differential equation. The bosonization approach can thus effectively avoid difficulties caused by anticommutative fermionic fields of the supersymmetric systems. The consistent tanh expansion (CTE) method is applied to the BSmKdV-B equation. A nonauto-Bäcklund (BT) theorem is obtained by using CTE method. The interaction solutions among solitons and other complicated waves including Painlevé II waves and periodic cnoidal waves are given through a nonauto-BT theorem. The features of the soliton-cnoidal interaction solutions are investigated both in analytical and graphical ways by combining the mapping and deformation method.

Abstract:The N=2a=−2 supersymmetric KdV equation is studied. A Darboux transformation and the corresponding Bäcklund transformation are constructed for this equation. Also, a nonlinear superposition formula is worked out for the associated Bäcklund transformation. The Bäcklund transformation and the related nonlinear superposition formula are used to construct integrable super semi-discrete and full discrete systems. The continuum limits of these discrete systems are also considered.

Abstract:In this paper, I introduce a class of super Bell polynomials, which are found to play an important role in the characterization of super supersymmetric equations. An effective approach based on the use of the super Bell polynomials is developed to systematically investigate the bilinearization, Bäcklund transformation, and Lax pair for supersymmetric equations. I take a supersymmetric two‐boson equation to illustrate this procedure. A new bilinear Bäcklund transformation and a Lax pair with both fermionic and bosonic parameters are given. In addition, a kind of exact solitons for the equation are further constructed with the help of the bilinear Bäcklund transformation.

Abstract:The derivation of nonlinear superposition formula is reexamined for the N=1 supersymmetric sinh-Gordon equation. It is shown that this formula results from the spatial part of Bäcklund transformation only and therefore can be associated with the supersymmetric MKdV equation.

Abstract:A direct and unifying scheme for explicitly constructing quasiperiodic wave solutions (multiperiodic wave solutions) of N = 2 supersymmetric KdV equation in a superspace is proposed. The scheme is based on the concept of super Hirota forms and on the use of super Riemann theta functions. In contrast to ordinary KdV equation with purely bosonic field, some new phenomena on super quasiperiodic waves occur in the supersymmetric KdV equation with the fermionic field. For instance, it is shown that the supersymmetric KdV equation does not possess an N-periodic wave solution for N >= 2 for arbitrary parameters. It is further observed that there is an influencing band occurred among the quasiperiodic waves under the presence of the Grassmann variable. The quasiperiodic waves are symmetric about the band but collapse along with the band. In addition, the relations between the quasiperiodic wave solutions and soliton solutions are rigorously established. It is shown that quasiperiodic wave solution convergence to the soliton solutions under certain conditions and small amplitude limit.
Bilinear approach to the quasi-periodic wave solutions of supersymmetric equations in superspace

Abstract:We devise a lucid and straightforward way for explicitly constructing quasi-periodic wave solutions (also called multi-periodic wave solutions) of supersymmetric equations in superspace $\mathbb{R}_\Lambda^{2,1}$ over two-dimensional Grassmann algebra $G_1(\sigma)$. Once a nonlinear equation is written in a bilinear form, its quasi-periodic wave solutions can be directly obtained by using a formula. Moreover, properties of these solutions are investigated in detail by analyzing their structures, plots and asymptotic behaviors. The relations between the quasi-periodic wave solutions and soliton solutions are rigorously established. It is shown that the soliton solutions can be obtained only as limiting cases of the quasi-periodic wave solutions under small amplitude limits in superspace $\mathbb{R}_\Lambda^{2,1}$. We find that, in contrast to the purely bosonic case, there is an interesting influencing band occurred among the quasi-periodic waves under the presence of the Grassmann variable. The quasi-periodic waves are symmetric about the band but collapse along with the band. Furthermore, the amplitudes of the quasi-periodic waves increase as the waves move away from the band. The efficiency of our proposed method can be demonstrated on a class variety of supersymmetric equations such as those considered in this paper, $\mathcal{N}=1$ supersymmetric KdV, Sawada-Kotera-Ramani and Ito's equations, as well as $\mathcal{N}=2$ supersymmetric KdV equation.

Abstract:The N = 2 supersymmetric KdV equations are studied within the framework of Hirota bilinear method. For two such equations, namely N = 2, a = 4 and N = 2, a = 1 supersymmetric KdV equations, we obtain the corresponding bilinear formulations. Using them, we construct particular solutions for both cases. In particular, a bilinear Bäcklund transformation is given for the N = 2, a = 1 supersymmetric KdV equation.
