Abstract:This paper aims to study the sufficient and necessary conditions for a generalized polynomial Liénard system with a unique equilibrium and one periodic annulus. In such a case, there are two types of equilibrium: a centre or a neighbourhood of the equilibrium consisting of a hyperbolic sector and an elliptical sector. The sufficient and necessary conditions for both cases are established and global phase portraits in the Poincaré disc are presented under certain conditions.

Abstract:In this article we study a class of integrable quadratic systems and classify all its phase portraits. More precisely, we characterize the class of all quadratic polynomial differential systems in the plane having an ellipse and a straight line as invariant algebraic curves. We show that this class is integrable and we provide all the different topological phase portraits that this class exhibits in the Poincare disc.

Abstract:The aim of this paper is to give a sufficient and necessary condition of the generalized polynomial Liénard system with a global center (including linear typer and nilpotent type). Recently, Llibre and Valls [J. Differential Equations, 330 (2022), 66-80] gave a sufficient and necessary condition of the generalized polynomial Liénard system with a linear type global center. It is easy to see that our sufficient and necessary condition is more easy by comparison. In particular, we provide the explicit expressions of all the generalized polynomial Liénard differential systems of degree 5 having a global center at the origin and the explicit expression of a generalized polynomial Liénard differential system of indefinite degree having a global center at the origin.

Abstract:We study isochronous centers of two classes of planar systems of ordinary differential equations. For the first class which is the Liénard systems of the form ẋ=y−F(x), ẏ=−g(x) with a center at the origin, we prove that if g is isochronous (see Definition 1.1), then the center is isochronous if and only if F≡0. For the second class which is the Hamiltonian systems of the form ẋ=−g(y), ẏ=f(x) with a center at the origin, we prove that if f or g is isochronous, then the center is isochronous if and only if the other is also isochronous.

Abstract:We consider the class of polynomial dierential equations ˙ x = ¡y + Pn(x;y), ˙ y = x + Qn(x;y), where Pn and Qn are homogeneous polynomials of degree n. Inside this class we identify a new subclass of systems having a center at the origin. We show that this subclass contains at least two subfamilies of isochronous centers. By using a method dierent from the classical ones, we study the limit cycles that bifurcate from the periodic orbits of such centers when we perturb them inside the class of all polynomial dierential systems of the above form. In particular, we present a function whose simple zeros correspond to the limit cycles which bifurcate from the periodic orbits of Hamiltonian systems.
Phase portraits for quadratic systems possessing an infinite elliptic-saddle or an infinite nilpotent saddle

Abstract:This paper presents a global study of the class $\bf{Q}{\widehat{ES}}$ of all real quadratic polynomial differential systems possessing exactly one elemental infinite singular point and one triple infinite singular point, which is either an infinite nilpotent elliptic-saddle or a nilpotent saddle. This class can be divided into three different families, namely, $\bf{Q}{{\widehat{ES}(A)}}$ of phase portraits possessing three real finite singular points, $\bf{Q}{{\widehat{ES}(B)}}$ of phase portraits possessing one real and two complex finite singular points, and $\bf{Q}{{\widehat{ES}(C)}}$ of phase portraits possessing one real triple finite singular point. Here we provide the complete study of the geometry of these three families. Modulo the action of the affine group and time homotheties, families $\bf{Q}{{\widehat{ES}(A)}}$ and $\bf{Q}{{\widehat{ES}(B)}}$ are three-dimensional and family $\bf{Q}{{\widehat{ES}(C)}}$ is two-dimensional. We study the respective bifurcation diagrams of their closures with respect to specific normal forms, in subsets of real Euclidean spaces. The bifurcation diagram of family $\bf{Q}{{\widehat{ES}(A)}}$ (respectively, $\bf{Q}{{\widehat{ES}(B)}}$ and $\bf{Q}{{\widehat{ES}(C)}}$) yields 1274 (respectively, 89 and 14) subsets with 91 (respectively, 27 and 12) topologically distinct phase portraits for systems in the closure $\overline{\bf{Q}{{\widehat{ES}(A)}}}$ (respectively, $\overline{\bf{Q}{{\widehat{ES}(B)}}}$ and $\overline{\bf{Q}{{\widehat{ES}(C)}}}$) within the representatives of $\bf{Q}{{\widehat{ES}(A)}}$ (respectively, $\bf{Q}{{\widehat{ES}(B)}}$ and $\bf{Q}{{\widehat{ES}(C)}}$) given by a specific normal form.

Abstract:This paper deals with the global dynamics of planar piecewise smooth differential systems constituted by two different vector fields separated by one straight line that passes through the origin. From a quasi-canonical family of piecewise quadratic differential systems with a pseudo-focus point at the origin, which has six parameters, we investigate the subfamilies where the origin is indeed a pseudo-center. For such subfamilies, we classify its global phase portraits in the Poincaré disk and the associated bifurcation sets.

Abstract:In this paper, we study the Hamiltonian differential systems with homogeneous nonlinearity parts on $\mathbb{C}^2$. Firstly, we present a series of topological properties of polynomial Hamiltonian functions, with a particular focus on the characteristics of critical points and non-trivial cycles that vanish at infinity. Secondly, we use these topological properties to derive a complete set of necessary and sufficient conditions for isochronous centers in this class of systems of any degree. Our method avoids tedious computation of the coefficients of normalization occurring in the usual tools to deal with the isochronicity problem.

Abstract:The determination of whether a center is isochronous or not is a well-known problem in the qualitative theory of planar systems. In this paper, we explore planar piecewise discontinuous differential systems characterized by a straight switching line $y=0$ and $x=0$, respectively. Our investigation reveals that such systems do not possess an isochronous center at the origin.

Abstract:Utilizing a series of Bott indices formulated through polynomials of position operators, we establish a comprehensive framework for characterizing topological zero-energy corner states in systems with chiral symmetry. Our framework covers systems with arbitrary shape, including topological phases that are not characterizable by previously proposed invariants such as multipole moments or multipole chiral numbers. A key feature of our framework is its ability to capture the real-space pattern of zero-energy corner states. We provide a rigorous analytical proof of its higher-order correspondence. To demonstrate the effectiveness of our theory, we examine several model systems with representative patterns of zero-energy corner states that previous frameworks fail to classify.

We prove that the existence and the number of short trajectories of $\varpi_{a,\theta}$ depend on the location of $a$ in certain curves defined on the complex plane as the level sets of some harmonic functions. More focus will be to the cases $\theta\in\left\{ 0,\pi/4\right\} .$ We investigate these classifications to study an inverse spectral problem related to the complex cubic oscillator for Schrödinger equation.

In the first part we study the relationship between conic centers (all orbits near a singular point of center type are conics) and isochronous centers of polynomial systems. In the second part we study the number of limit cycles that bifurcate from the periodic orbits of cubic reversible isochronous centers having all their orbits formed by conics, when we perturb such systems inside the class of all polynomial systems of degree n.
From bubbles to clusters: Multiple solutions to the Allen--Cahn system

Abstract:We extend previous works on the multiplicity of solutions to the Allen-Cahn system on closed Riemannian manifolds by considering an arbitrary number of phases. Specifically, we show that on parallelizable manifolds, the number of solutions is bounded from below by topological invariants of the underlying manifold, provided the temperature parameter and volume constraint are sufficiently small. The Allen-Cahn system naturally arises in phase separation models, where solutions represent the distribution of distinct phases in a multi-component mixture. As the temperature parameter approaches zero, the system's energy approximates the multi-isoperimetric profile, leading to solutions concentrating in regions resembling isoperimetric clusters. For two or three phases, these results rely on classifying isoperimetric clusters. However, this classification remains incomplete for a larger number of phases. To address this technical issue, we employ a "volume-fixing variations" approach, enabling us to establish our results for any number of phases and small volume constraints. This offers deeper insights into phase separation phenomena on manifolds with arbitrary geometry.

Abstract:This paper focuses on isochronicity of linear center perturbed by a polynomial. Isochronicity of a linear center perturbed by a degree four and degree five polynomials is studied, several new isochronous centers are found. For homogeneous isochronous perturbations, a first integral and a linearizing change of coordinates are presented. Moreover, a family of Abel polynomial systems is also considered. By investigations until degree 10 we prove the existence of a unique isochronous center. These results are established using a computer implementation based on Urabe theorem.

Abstract:The ferromagnetic Ising model without external field on an infinite Lorentzian triangulation sampled from the uniform distribution is considered. We prove uniqueness of the Gibbs measure in the high temperature region and coexistence of at least two Gibbs measures at low temperature. Abstract:We consider the class of all polynomial systems having a conic center (i.e. all periodic orbits round the center are conics). It is proved that all such systems have an isochronous center, and up to affine transformations of the coordinates, each such system coincides with linear isochronous center (S-0), quadratic isochronous centers (S-1),(S-2) due to Loud's classification [1] or a special kind of a cubic isochronous system (S-*). Moreover, it is proved that the upper bounds of the number of zeros of Abelian integrals of (S-1), (S-2) and (S-*) in case of time reversible, are linearly dependent on n, when such systems are Perturbed inside the class of all polynomial systems of degree n.

Abstract:In this paper, we study the polynomial Liénard differential system of arbitrary degree: x˙=y,y˙=a1x+a2x2m+(a3+a4x2n)y$$ \dot{x}=y, \ \dot{y}=a_1x+a_2x^{2\,m}+(a_3+a_4x^{2n})y $$ applying to a Duffing–Van der Pol oscillator. We prove that it has abundant dynamics, such as the generalized transcritical bifurcation, Hopf bifurcation, heteroclinic bifurcation, homoclinic bifurcation and double limit cycle bifurcation. The associated global bifurcation diagram in the parameter space and the corresponding global phase portraits in the Poincaré disc are presented. These analytic results are also demonstrated by concrete examples via numerical simulations.
