Relationship between content of Hcy and incidence rate of ED in young male hypertensives

Abstract:Objectives:To investigate whether high homocysteine (HHcy)is the cause of erectile dysfunc-tion (ED)for hypertensive patients.Methods:1 20 young male patients with grade III hypertension were selected. The concentration of serum Hcy and the score of IIEF -5 were measured to understand the correlation of them.The incidence of erectile dysfunction in patients with different degrees of hypertension was measured.Results:With the increase of the serum Hcy level,the blood pressure and the incidence of erectile dysfunction increased,and the IIEF -5 scores decreased.Conclusion:The reason that hypertension patients suffer erectile dysfunction may be a high level of homocysteine.
