Touristification Development on the National Key Ecological Functional Areas——A Case Study of Ecological Reserve Area in the Three Gorges Reservoir Area

Abstract:The key ecological functional areas undertake the strategic mission of national ecological environment secu-rity, whose road of social and economic development need to be different from the general areas. Touristification is one of the forms of pluralistic development in postindustrial society, and also an important developmental path for the tourism re-source and ecological functional areas. Ecological areas need to cross the two major barriers of industrialization and less-development under the support of national policy, and enter the stage of development with ecology, tourism and integrated services as the leading factor. Ecological Reserve Area in the Three Gorges Reservoir Area has obvious advantages in the touristification development. The government should provide funds to help in the traffic infrastructure, financial policy and financial policy to promote the areas into the stage of supply of tourism and ecological products as the leading factor, re-alizing the great leap forward development of less-developed region under specific conditions.
