Mining the Characteristics of News Dissemination Studies through Half-life of Literature

Abstract:This paper makes a statistical analysis of research papers' citation. Through analyzing the indexes of half- life of literature and the reference factors, it is found that there are many shortcomings in the news dissemination studies, such as the short literature suitable period, the deficiency of literature' standard and utilization, the lack of concern to front issues and the problem of excess studying in practice work. These conclusions are consistent with Professor Chen Taowen's analysis, and also show that it is feasible to evaluate this discipline with bibliometrics.
