Analysis on Temporal and Spatial Distribution Pattern of Inbound Tourists and its Evolution in Shandong Province

Abstract:According to the data of inbound tourists from 17 cities of Shandong during 2000—2011 , we ana-lyse the inter-annual variation, time distribution, dynamic degree, spatial concentration and spatial pattern evolu-tion of inbound tourists in Shandong province from both space and time point of view.The results show that the in-ter-annual variation of inbound tourists'occupancy in most cities remains even and outstanding.Except few individ-ual cities, the year border concentration index is higher and time distribution is uneven.Inbound tourism has higher spatial concentration from cities'differences perspective.Additionally, the primate city and difference of spatial concentration between cities are outstanding.The spatial distribution of inbound tourists in regional differences shows obvious concentration pattern and inbound tourists are mainly concentrated in eastern Shandong.
