Research progress in long noncoding RNA and its relationship with virus

Abstract:It was summarized the recent progress in long noncoding RNA and its relationship with virus, espe-cially the function of long noncoding RNA on virus-induced oncogenesis.Long noncoding RNA ( lncRNA) was a noncoding RNA longer than 200 nucleotides, which could regulate gene expression at epigenetic, transcrip-tion and post-transcription level, and widely existed in the organism.It had been demonstrated that lncRNA play an important role in many life phenomena, which include cell proliferation, apoptosis and tumorigenesis. The role of lncRNA in the process of viral infection and carcinogenesis was summarized.The infection of virus generally would change the expression of the hosts′lncRNA.The lncRNA encoded by virus could also modu-late the expression of the hosts′gene which was critical for the infection of virus.Efforts on the researches of long noncoding RNA and its relationship with virus might give new insights into virus-host interactions and therapy of related diseases.
