Abstract:Long noncoding RNAs(lncRNAs) are defined as transcripts longer than 200 nt with little or no protein-coding capacity that are generally transcribed in the mammalian genome.Initially,they are considered to be a byproduct in the transcription process without biological function.As investigations have progressed,however,new lncRNAs have been constantly found,and more and more evidence shows that lncRNAs possess complex biological functions and are closely related to human diseases.
