Abstract:Let D be a 2-(v,k,1) design and G≤Aut be the aut omorphism groupof . In this paper,it is proved that if G is block-primitiv e and PSL(3,q2)(q=2l),then it is also point-primitive. More over,a blo ck-primitive 2-(v,k,1)design does not have PSL(2,q) as its aut omorphism group.

Abstract:Let be a 2-(v,k,1) design and G≤Aut be the automorphism groupof .In this paper,it is proved that if G is block-primitive and G≌PSU(3,q2)(q=2l),then it is also point-primitive.Moreover,the design of this type must be a Hermitian unital,i.e a 2-(q3+1,q+1,1) design.

Abstract:Flag-transitivity is one of the many conditions that can be imposed on the automorphism group G of a 2-(v,k,λ) design D.In 1988,it is proved by Zieschang that if D is a 2-(v,k,λ) design,G≤Aut(G) is flag-transitive and (r,λ)=1,then G is affine or almost simple.So it is possible to classify this type of designs by using the classification of finite simple groups.Let D be a nontrivial 2-(v,k,λ) design with (r,λ)=1 and v≤1 000,and let G≤Aut(D) be flag-transitive with Soc(G)≌PSL(2,q).It is proved that,up to isomorphism,there are exactly 18 pairs (D,G).

Abstract:Let 𝒮 be a finite thick generalized quadrangle, and suppose that G is an automorphism group of 𝒮 . If G acts primitively on both the points and lines of 𝒮 , then it is known that G must be almost simple. In this paper, we show that if the socle of G is PSL(2,q) with q≥ 4 , then q=9 and 𝒮 is the unique generalized quadrangle of order 2.

Abstract:In this paper, we consider the action of the group PSL(2, g) on the finite projective line GF(q) boolean OR {infinity} when q is a prime power congruent to 1 modulo 4 and construct several simple 3-(q+1,5, lambda) designs admitting PS L(2, q) as an automorphism group. Abstract:The classifying block-transitive 2-(v,k,1) block designs is devoted.In particular,the classification of unsolvable block-transitive 2-(v,7,1) designs is considered and the following result is obtained: let G be an automorphism group of a 2-(v,7,1) design D,if G acting on D is block-transitive unsolvable and point-primitive,but not flag-transitive,G≠PSLn(q),where q is odd and(n,q)≠(2,2),(2,3).

Abstract:Let D be a non-trivial 2–(v,k,λ) design with λ≤4, and G≤Aut(D) be flag-transitive, point-quasiprimitive, then G is of holomorph affine or almost simple type. As a corollary, we obtain that G cannot be an almost simple group if λ≤3, and also obtain a classification of flag-transitive, point-quasiprimitive and imprimitive 2-(v,k,4) designs.

Abstract:The classification of all block-transitive 2 − ( v , k , 1 ) designs has been known as a long-standing and still open problem. This work is a contribution to the general program to classify the pairs ( D , G ) in which D is a 2 − ( v , k , 1 ) design and G act as a point-primitive block-transitive automorphism group of D with a Suzuki group Sz ( q ) socle. We determine the point-stabilizer G α ∩ Sz ( q ) and the block-stabilizer G B ∩ Sz ( q ), and the parameter of D is given.

Abstract:Constructing t-designs with given parameters is an important and difficult problem in the field of combinatoric design theory.It is an effective method to construct a t-design using its automorphism group.In this paper,let D=(X,B) be a 4-(q+1,5,λ) design,and G≤Aut(D) act block-transitively on D,where X=GF(q)∪{∞} and GF(q) is a finite field of order q.Let PSL(2,q)(?) G≤PΓL(2,q).Using a result of Kramer and Mesner and the orbits from the action of the two-dimensional projective linear group on the set of 5-element subsets of X,our main results are as follows: (1) G = PGL(2,17) and D is a 4-(18,5,4) design;or (2) G = PSL(2,32) and D is a 4-(33,5,4) design;or (3) G = PΓL(2,32) and D is a 4-(33,5,5) or a 4-(33,5,20) design.

Abstract: Let $\mathcal{S}$ be a finite thick generalized quadrangle, and suppose that $G$ is an automorphism group of $\mathcal{S}$. If $G$ acts primitively on both the points and lines of $\mathcal{S}$, then it is known that $G$ must be almost simple. In this paper, we show that if the socle of $G$ is $\mathrm{PSL}(2,q)$ with $q\geq4$, then $q=9$ and $\mathcal{S}$ is the unique generalized quadrangle of order $2$.

Abstract:In this paper, we investigated the existence of 4-(q+1,7, λ) designs with block-transitive automorphic group PGL (2,q), and the computer algorithm to construct the block-transitive 4-(v, k, λ) designs from PGL (2,q). Abstract:Let p be an odd prime number and (G,D) be a pair, where D is a 2-(v,p,1) design and G is a group of automorphism of D so that G is solvable and block-transitive on D.
