Abstract:Firstly,the non-linear Lipschitz-α operator lattice from(M,d) to Riesz space is studied.Secondly,it is proved that operator space L~α_B(M,R) is Riesz space and(B_1(L~α_B(M,R)),∨,∧)is completely distributive lattice.

Abstract:We analyse and characterise the notion of lattice Lipschitz operator (a class of superposition operators, diagonal Lipschitz maps) when defined between Banach function spaces. After showing some general results, we restrict our attention to the case of those Lipschitz operators which are representable by pointwise composition with a strongly measurable function. Mimicking the classical definition and characterizations of (linear) multiplication operators between Banach function spaces, we show that under certain conditions the requirement for a diagonal Lipschitz operator to be well-defined between two such spaces $X(\mu)$ and $Y(\mu)$ is that it can be represented by a strongly measurable function which belongs to the Bochner space $\mathcal M(X,Y) \big(\mu, Lip_0(\mathbb R) \big). $ Here, $\mathcal M(X,Y) $ is the space of multiplication operators between $X(\mu)$ and $Y(\mu),$ and $Lip_0(\mathbb R)$ is the space of real-valued Lipschitz maps with real variable that are equal to $0$ in $0. $ This opens the door to a better understanding of these maps, as well as finding the relation of these operators to some normed tensor products and other classes of maps.

Abstract:Let E , F be Banach lattices, where E has the disjoint Riesz decomposition property. For a lattice homomorphism and a bounded subset A of E , we establish a necessary and sufficient condition under which TA is b -order bounded. Based on this, we study the b -order boundedness of subsets of E and obtain several characterizations of AM -spaces. Furthermore, we introduce and investigate a novel type of operators referred to as M -serially summing operator. The connections of this category of operators with classical notions of operators, such as majorizing operators, preregular operators and serially summing operators, are considered.

Abstract:In this paper we investigate the Lipschitz equivalence of dust-like self-similar sets in R-d. One of the fundamental results by Falconer and Marsh [On the Lipschitz equivalence of Cantor sets, Mathematika, 39 (1992), 223-233] establishes conditions for Lipschitz equivalence based on the algebraic properties of the contraction ratios of the self-similar sets. In this paper we extend the study by examining deeper such connections.A key ingredient of our study is the introduction of a new equivalent relation between two dust-like self-similar sets called a matchable condition. Thanks to a certain measure-preserving property of bi-Lipschitz maps between dust-like self-similar sets, we show that the matchable condition is a necessary condition for Lipschitz equivalence.Using the matchable condition we prove several conditions on the Lipschitz equivalence of dust-like self-similar sets based on the algebraic properties of the contraction ratios, which include a complete characterization of Lipschitz equivalence when the multiplication groups generated by the contraction ratios have full rank. We also completely characterize the Lipschitz equivalence of dust-like self-similar sets with two branches (i.e., they are generated by IFS with two contractive similarities). Some other results are also presented, including a complete characterization of Lipschitz equivalence when one of the self-similar sets has uniform contraction ratio.

Abstract:Inspired by the theories of Kaplansky-Hilbert modules and probability theory in vector lattices, we generalise functional analysis by replacing the scalars $\mathbb{R}$ or $\mathbb{C}$ by a real or complex Dedekind complete unital $f$-algebra $\mathbb{L}$; such an algebra can be represented as a suitable space of continuous functions. We set up the basic theory of $\mathbb{L}$-normed and $\mathbb{L}$-Banach spaces and bounded operators between them, we discuss the $\mathbb{L}$-valued analogues of the classical $\ell^p$-spaces, and we prove the analogue of the Hahn-Banach theorem. We also discuss the basics of the theory of $\mathbb{L}$-Hilbert spaces, including projections onto convex subsets and the Riesz Representation theorem.

Abstract:We study operators carrying disjoint bounded subsets of a Banach lattice into compact, weakly compact, and limited subsets of a Banach space. Surprisingly, these operators behave differently with classical compact, weakly compact, and limited operators. We introduce and investigate d-Andrews operators which carry disjoint bounded sets onto Dunford--Pettis sets.

Abstract:For a compact metric space $(K, \rho)$, the predual of $Lip(K, \rho)$ can be identified with the normed space $M(K)$ of finite (signed) Borel measures on $K$ equipped with the Kantorovich-Rubinstein norm, this is due to Kantorovich [20]. Here we deduce atomic decomposition of $M(K)$ by mean of some results from [10]. It is also known, under suitable assumption, that there is a natural isometric isomorphism between $Lip(K, \rho)$ and $(lip(K, \rho))_{**}$ [15]. In this work we also show that the pair $(lip(K, \rho), Lip(K, \rho))$ can be framed in the theory of o-O type structures introduced by K. M. Perfekt.

Abstract:We investigate the $o\tau$-continuous/bounded/compact and Lebesgue operators from vector lattices to topological vector spaces; the KB operators between locally solid lattices and topological vector spaces; and the Levi operators from locally solid lattices to vector lattices. The main idea of operator versions of notions related to vector lattices lies in redistributing topological and order properties of a topological vector lattice between the domain and range of an operator under investigation. Domination properties for these classes of operators are studied.

Abstract:In this paper it is shown that the lattice of C$^*$-covers of an operator algebra does not contain enough information to distinguish operator algebras up to completely isometric isomorphism. In addition, four natural equivalences of the lattice of C$^*$-covers are developed and proven to be distinct. The lattice of C$^*$-covers of direct sums and tensor products are studied. Along the way key examples are found of an operator algebra that generates exactly $n$ C$^*$-algebras up to $*$-isomorphism and a simple operator algebra that is not similar to a C$^*$-algebra.

Abstract:We solve two main questions on linear structures of (non-)norm-attaining Lipschitz functions. First, we show that for every infinite metric space $M$, the set consisting of Lipschitz functions on $M$ which do not strongly attain their norm and the zero contains an isometric copy of $\ell_\infty$, and moreover, those functions can be chosen not to attain their norm as functionals on the Lipschitz-free space over $M$. Second, we prove that for every infinite metric space $M$, neither the set of strongly norm-attaining Lipschitz functions on $M$ nor the union of its complement with zero is ever a linear space. Furthermore, we observe that the set consisting of Lipschitz functions which cannot be approximated by strongly norm-attaining ones and the zero element contains $\ell_\infty$ isometrically in all the known cases. Some natural observations and spaceability results are also investigated for Lipschitz functions that attain their norm in one way but do not in another, for several norm-attainment notions considered in the literature.

Abstract:We study the existence of continuous (linear) operators from the Banach spaces $\mbox{Lip}_0(M)$ of Lipschitz functions on infinite metric spaces $M$ vanishing at a distinguished point and from their predual spaces $\mathcal{F}(M)$ onto certain Banach spaces, including $C(K)$-spaces and the spaces $c_0$ and $\ell_1$. For pairs of spaces $\mbox{Lip}_0(M)$ and $C(K)$ we prove that if they are endowed with topologies weaker than the norm topology, then usually no continuous (linear or not) surjection exists between those spaces. It is also showed that if a metric space $M$ contains a bilipschitz copy of the unit sphere $S_{c_0}$ of the space $c_0$, then $\mbox{Lip}_0(M)$ admits a continuous operator onto $\ell_1$ and hence onto $c_0$. Using this, we provide several conditions for a space $M$ implying that $\mbox{Lip}_0(M)$ is not a Grothendieck space. Finally, we obtain a new characterization of the Schur property for Lipschitz-free spaces: a space $\mathcal{F}(M)$ has the Schur property if and only if for every discrete metric space $N$ with cardinality $d(M)$ the spaces $\mathcal{F}(M)$ and $\mathcal{F}(N)$ are weakly sequentially homeomorphic.

Abstract:We introduce new class of limitedly L-weakly compact operators from a Banach space to a Banach lattice. This class is a proper subclass of the Bourgain-Diestel operators and it contains properly the class of L-weakly compact operators. We give its efficient characterization in term of sequences, investigate the domination problem, and study the completeness of this class of operators.

Abstract:We introduce the logarithmic analogue of the Laplace-Beltrami operator on Ahlfors regular metric-measure spaces. This operator is intrinsically defined with spectral properties analogous to those of elliptic pseudo-differential operators on Riemannian manifolds. Specifically, its heat semigroup consists of compact operators which are trace-class after some critical point in time. Moreover, its domain is a Banach module over the Dini continuous functions and every Hölder continuous function is a smooth vector. Finally, the operator is compatible, in the sense of noncommutative geometry, with the action of a large class of non-isometric homeomorphisms.

Abstract:For a metric space $(K,d)$ the Banach space $\Lip(K)$ consists of all scalar-valued bounded Lipschitz functions on $K$ with the norm $\|f\|_{L}=\max(\|f\|_{\infty},L(f))$, where $L(f)$ is the Lipschitz constant of $f$. The closed subspace $\lip(K)$ of $\Lip(K)$ contains all elements of $\Lip(K)$ satisfying the $\lip$-condition $\lim_{0<d(x,y)\to 0}|f(x)-f(y)|/d(x,y)=0$. For $K=([0,1],| {\cdot} |^{\alpha})$, $0<\alpha<1$, we prove that $\lip(K)$ is a proper $M$-ideal in a certain subspace of $\Lip(K)$ containing a copy of $\ell^{\infty}$.

Abstract:Let L = -Delta + V be a Schrodinger operator in R(d) and H(L)(1)(R(d)) be the Hardy type space associated to L. We investigate the bilinear operators T(+) and T(-) defined byT(+/-)(f, g)(x) = (T(1)f)(x)(T(2)g)(x) +/- (T(2)f)(x)(T(1)g)(x),where T(1) and T(2) are Calderon-Zygmund operators related to L. Under some general conditions, we prove that either T(+) or T(-) is bounded from L(p)(R(d)) x L(q) (R(d)) to H(L)(1)(R(d)) for 1 < p, q < infinity with 1/p + 1/q = 1. Several examples satisfying these conditions are given. We also give a counterexample for which the classical Hardy space estimate fails.

On the small scale nonlinear theory of operator spaces

Abstract:We initiate the study of the small scale geometry of operator spaces. The authors have previously shown that a map between operator spaces which is completely coarse (that is, the sequence of its amplifications is equi-coarse) must be $\mathbb R$-linear. We obtain a generalization of the aforementioned result to completely coarse maps defined on the unit ball of an operator space. By relaxing the condition to a small scale one, we prove that there are many non-linear examples of maps which are completely Lipshitz in small scale. We define a geometric parameter for homogeneous Hilbertian operator spaces which imposes restrictions on the existence of such maps.
