Abstract:VO2 ( B) nanobeltswere can be successfully synthesized by the ethanol reduction of [ VO( O2 ) 2 ]-under the hydrothermal route. The behavior of VO2 ( B) nanobelts under the calcination and hydrothermal condition was respectively studied. In the inert atmosphere, VO2 ( B) can be converted into VO2 ( M) at 700 ℃ for 2 h by the calcination. Under hydrothermal conditions, if the system without doping agent, VO2 ( B ) can be transformed into VO2 ( A ); if the dopant ( e. g. , molybdenum acid ) exists in the system, VO2 ( B) can be transformed into doped VO2 ( M) . In the preparation of VO2 ( M) by one-step hydrothermal method, the dopant played a crucial role in controlling VO2 polymorph. The dopant is benificial to the formation of doped VO2 ( M) , which makes VO2 ( M) stable under hydrothermal conditions. VO2(A) can also be converted into VO2(M) under the inert atmosphere by calcination. The morphology of VO2 with different phases is similar. The transformation mechanism from VO2 ( B) to VO2 ( A) or W-doped VO2 ( M) was discussed in detail. The phase transition temperature of VO2 ( A) is 162. 4℃, while the phase transition temperature of Mo-doped VO2 ( M) is 53. 7 ℃. The above results suggest that doping Mo atoms can effectively reduce the phase transition temperature of VO2 ( M) , and that Mo atoms can be effectively doped into the VO2 ( M) in the crystal lattice.
