Determination of Benzene Series and Bromobenzene, p-Bromofluorobenzene in Drinking Water by Headspace Gas Chromatography

Abstract:A method for determination of benzene series and bromobenzene,p-bromofluorobenzene in drinking water by headspace gas chromatography was established. Contents of benzene series and bromobenzene,p-bromofluorobenzene in drinking water were determined by GC–FID detector and sepelco wax 10 column after gas–liquild balance. Under the optimal experimental conditions,benzene series and bromobenzene,p-bromofluorobenzene were well separated. The mass concentration of benzene series and bromobenzene,p-bromofluorobenzene in drinking water had good relationship with the chromatographic peak area, the linear correlation coefficients were not less than 0.999 7. The detection limits were 0.94–2.36μg/L,the relative standard deviation of detemination results was 1.4%–5.7%(n=6),and the recovery was 90.8% – 99.1%. The method is simple,sensitive,accuracy,and it can be applied for simultaneous determination of benzene series and bromobenzene,p-bromofluorobenzene in drinking water.
