Research on the Technology of Degradation and Desalination of Silk Fibroin

Abstract:The methods of degradation and desalination of silk fibroin were studied. The results showed that self-made equipment could increase efficiency of producing fibroin power and discoloring. There is no obvious difference in amino acid content between fibroin power and rude fibroin. The particles achieved by spray drying were smaller than those achieved by freeze drying. So the method of using the self-made equipment together with spray drying are simple and feasible.
