Abstract:The present paper deals with the genus Polyura Billberg from China. A key to 10 Chinese species of the genus is proposed and one new species Polyura mutata is described. Polyura mutata sp. nov.(Figs.1-8)Forewing length 44?mm. The new species is similar to P. dolon and P. narcaea, but distinguishable from P. dolon by a Y-shaped patch at the end of the discal cell of the forewing; and differs from P. narcaea by V-shaped patch at each cell outside submarginal band of underside of hindwing, its inside without three-colour marginal line with white, black and gray.Male genitalia also differs from the other two species: 1) saccus bag longer; 2) apex tapering.Holotype ♂, Lushan, Sichuan Prov., May 2000, WANG Bing-Hong. The type is deposited in the Entomological Museum, Northwest A & F University.

Abstract:1 species and 4 subspecies of Callarge Leech,[1892] from China are coordinated in this paper.Among them,one newly recorded subspecies in China is described as Callarge occidentalis fansipana Monastyrskii,2005,and one change of status is nominated as Callarge sagitta fansipana Monastyrskii,stat.nov.Main characteristics and geographical distribution of the subspecies are discussed.The male genitalia and adult photographs of the genus are provided.

Abstract:A new species, Polycaena eckweileri sp. n., is described from Gansu Province, China. Based on the analysis of the barcode region of the mitochondrial COI gene, the new species belongs to the P. lama Leech, 1893 species group. The new species differs from all the known species of the genus in peculiar characters of the male genitalia. Polycaena eckweileri sp. n. is known to date only from the type locality in Têwo County. The phylogenetic reconstruction of the main lineages of the genus Polycaena based on analysis of a 658 bp region of the COI mitochondrial gene is provided for the first time. Lectotype of Polycaena lua Grum-Grshimailo, 1891 is designated from a series of syntypes deposited in the collection of the Zoological Institute, Russian Academy of Science, St. Petersburg, Russia.

Abstract:In the paper,a new species and two new record species of the genus Psilopa Fallén(Diptera,Ephydridae) are described:P.wangi sp.nov.,P.marginella(Fallén,1823) and P.leucostoma(M eigen,1830).P.marginella and P.leucostoma distribute in Helan M ountain of Inner M ongolia in China.T he types are deposited in the Entomological M useum of China Agricultural University,Beijing.Psilopa wangi sp.nov.(Figs 1-5) T his new species is allied to P.marginella(Fallén,1823),but differs from the latter in the following points:1) face bare without microtomentum;2)antennae orange,but first lagellomere brownish black dorsally;3) wing hyaline except middle and basal portions of cell R2 +3,cell R4 +5 and cell Cu brownish yellow;4) foreleg black;mid and hind coxae,trochanter and femora black,tibiae and tarsomeres 1 4 yellow,tarsomere 5 dark brown.♂.Body length2.04mm,wing length2.25mm.Holotype ♂,Liaoning,Huanren,Laotu Dingzi Nature Reserve(41.32°N,124.87°E;alt.1058 m),24 July 2009,collected by W ANG Jun-Chao(CAU).Etymology.T he specific name is derived from the collector's last name"W ang".

Abstract:Six species of the genus Aconurella Ribaut from China are reviewed including two new records and two new species; de-scriptions and illustrations of these species are provided. Two new species A. furcata sp. n. and A. paradiplachnis sp. n.are described. A key to males of the Chinese species in the genus is also given. A. orientalis is considered a junior synonym of A. prolixa syn. n. and A. solana is considered a junior synonym of A. montana syn. n.

Abstract:Nine taxa of the genus Pericalus Macleay from China are revised, with four new species described: Pericalus gibbosus sp. n. (type locality: Putao, Myanmar; one paratype from Mêdog, Xizang), Pericalus elegans sp. n. (type locality: Mêdog, Xizang), Pericalus acutidens sp. n. (type locality: Longchuan, Yunnan), and Pericalus obscuratus sp. n. (type locality: Fanjingshan, Guizhou). Four taxa are newly recorded from China: Pericalus ornatus ornatus Schmidt-Göbel (Yunnan, Hainan), P. obtusipennis Fedorenko (Yunnan), P. amplus Andrewes (Yunnan), and P. dux Andrewes (Yunnan). Pericalus formosanus Dupuis is newly ranked as a subspecies of P. ornatus Schmidt-Göbel. An improved key to world species of the subgenus Pericalus is provided, along with distribution maps and images of habitus and male and female genitalia for all Chinese species.

Abstract:The genus Parerigone (Diptera, Tachinidae) is reviewed. Five new species from China, P. atrisetosa sp. nov., P. flava sp. nov., P. flavisquama sp. nov., P. laxifrons sp. nov. and P. wangi sp. nov., are described and illustrated. Parerigone flavihirta (Chao & Sun) is proposed as a new synonym of P. takanoi Mesnil. Diagnosis of species examined and a key to the 15 species of Parerigone are provided.

Abstract:Six species of Parablatticida Girault are reported from China, of which two species, P. orientalis sp. nov. and P. scapata sp. nov., are described as new to science. Parablatticida brevicornis (Dalman), P. magniclava Hayat and P. terebrata (Trjapitzin) are recorded from China for the first time. A key to Chinese species of Parablatticida is provided and characters of the species are illustrated. The type specimens are deposited in the Zoological Collection of the Institute of Zoology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing, China.

Abstract:The four species from China of the genus Paralaevicephalus Ishihara, 1953 are reviewed; among them, two species, P. longistylus sp. nov. and P. gracilipenis sp. nov. , are described. Paralaevicephalus prima (Rao, 1989) is reported for the first time from China. The genus Khasiana Rao, 1989 (Deltocephalinae: Paralimnini) is synonymized with Paralaevicephalus Ishihara, 1953 syn. nov. A key is given to distinguish the species, and illustrations of genitalia are provided.

Abstract:The species of the genus Sphaerocera Latreille, 1804 from China are reviewed. Two species are described, keyed, and illustrated. Among them, Sphaerocera pseudomonilis hallux Rohacek et Floren, 1997 is newly recorded from China and compared with the other two subspecies S. pseudomonilis pseudomonilis Nishijima et Yamazaki, 1984 and S. pseudomonilis asiatica Papp, 1988. The geographic distribution is updated and discussed.

Abstract:The species of Ptilomera Amyot & Serville, 1843 from China are reviewed. Two new species, Ptilomera acutidentata sp. n. and Ptilomera valida sp. n., are described from Yunnan, China. Diagnoses and new distribution records are provided for four previously recorded species, i.e., Ptilomera burmana D. Polhemus, 2001, Ptilomera hemmingseni Andersen, 1967, Ptilomera hylactor Breddin, 1903, and Ptilomera tigrina Uhler, 1860. Photographs and line drawings of the habitus, diagnostic characteristics of both sexes, habitat and in-situ photographs are presented. A distribution map of Ptilomera in China is also provided.

Abstract:The genus Parnara was established by Moore in 1881, with the species Eudamus guttatus Bremer et Grey, 1853 as its type. In the present paper 4 species belonging to the genus from China are reported, among them Parnara apostata (Snellen, 1866) from Hainan province is new record to China. It is described and illustrated. According to Chiba’s descriptions on 3 subspecies of Parnara apostata (Snellen, 1866), its male specimen from Hainan belongs to nominal subspecies. Key to species of the genus Parnara from China is provided.
