Abstract:A review of the species of the genus Meromyza from China is provided. Two species, Meromyza gansuensis sp. n. and M ningxiaensis sp. n., are described as new to science. A key to the species of the genus from China is presented. The distribution of the genus in China is discussed.

Abstract:The genus Termioptycha Meyrick, 1889 from China is reviewed. Among the ten species studied, T. longiclavata sp. nov., T. longispina sp. nov., T. nigrimacularis sp. nov. and T. cornutitrifurca sp. nov. are described as new; T. conjuncta(Warren, 1896), comb. rev. is re-allocated in this genus from Salma Walker, 1863; and T. conjuncta and T. eucarta(Felder & Rogenhofer, 1875) are newly recorded in China. Photographs of adults and genitalia are provided. A key to the ten species in China based on male genitalia is provided.

Abstract:The genus Tzustigmus Finnamore (Crabronidae: Pemphredoninae: Pemphredonini) from China is reviewed and a key to the world species is provided. Three new species, T. denserectus Ma and Chen from Shaanxi Province, China: T. caputipunctatus Ma and Li from Shaanxi and Henan Provinces, China; and T. pesangulatus Ma and Li from Yunnan Province are described and illustrated. Two species are reported from China for the first time: T. khmer Finnamore and T. syam Finnamore.

Abstract:The Rheotanytarsus muscicola species group is generally considered to be a taxonomically difficult group of non-biting midges (Diptera: Chironomidae). In this study, we review the R. muscicola species group based on the adult males from China using morphology and DNA barcodes. Rheotanytarsus ferringtoni Lin & Yao sp. n. is described and figured, and four species (Rheotanytarsus falcipedius Kyerematen, Andersen & Sæther, 2000; Rheotanytarsus fluminis Kawai & Sasa, 1985; Rheotanytarsus illiesi Siebert, 1979; and Rheotanytarsus photophilus Goetghebuer, 1921) new to China are redescribed, figured and discussed. An updated key to known adult males of the R. muscicola species group is presented. Our study shows concordance between morphological species concepts and DNA barcodes.

Abstract:The genus Matsumuraja Schumacher, 1921 is an eastern Asiatic genus and was reviewed in China. After this research, M. polydactylota Qiao & Zhang syn. nov. was regarded as the synonym of M. rubicola Takahashi; and Chaetosiphon anguifragum Zhang & Qiao syn. nov. was regarded as the synonym of M. rubifoliae Takahashi. Furthermore, M. rubi (Matsumura), M. rubiphila Takahashi, M. taisetsusana Miyazaki, M. urticae Ghosh, Ghosh & Raychaudhuri were first recorded in China. Seven species of the genus are now recognized in China. A key to species of Matsumuraja in China is presented.

Abstract:The species of Ptilomera Amyot & Serville, 1843 from China are reviewed. Two new species, Ptilomera acutidentata sp. n. and Ptilomera valida sp. n., are described from Yunnan, China. Diagnoses and new distribution records are provided for four previously recorded species, i.e., Ptilomera burmana D. Polhemus, 2001, Ptilomera hemmingseni Andersen, 1967, Ptilomera hylactor Breddin, 1903, and Ptilomera tigrina Uhler, 1860. Photographs and line drawings of the habitus, diagnostic characteristics of both sexes, habitat and in-situ photographs are presented. A distribution map of Ptilomera in China is also provided.

Abstract:Seven species of the genus Toxorhina Loew, 1850 have been recorded from China, of which three are known to occur in Yunnan Province. Herein, all known species from Yunnan, China are reviewed with more detailed descriptions and illustrations of the male hypopygium. A species of Toxorhina belonging to the subgenus Ceratocheilus Wesché, 1910 from Yunnan, T. ( C. ) pianmica sp. nov. , is described and illustrated as new to science.

Abstract:The species of Mesitiinae (Bethylidae) from China are revised and 20 species belonging to five genera are recognized. The following eleven new species are described: Heterocoelia curtisulcus sp. nov., H. unicolor sp. nov., H. varicolor sp. nov., H. remota sp. nov., Incertosulcus afoveatus sp. nov., I. exilisulcus sp. nov., Sulcomesitius angustifrons sp. nov., S. latibilobatus sp. nov., S. sparsulus sp. nov., Zimankos acutulus sp. nov. and Z. hamulosus sp. nov. Two new synonymies are proposed: Heterocoelia sinensis Xu & He, 2006 is synonymized with H. zhaoi Xu & He, 2006, and Sulcomesitius rectus Xu, He & Terayama, 2003 with Zimankos cambodianus (Móczár, 1976). Two species are transferred from Sulcomesitius to Heterocoelia, resulting in H. punctulata (Xu, He & Terayama, 2003) comb. nov. and H. neomoczari (Barbosa & Azevedo, 2018) comb. nov. Two species are transferred from Heterocoelia to Sulcomesitius, resulting in S. zhaoi (Xu & He, 2006) comb. nov. and S. breviculus (Xu & He, 2003) comb. nov. Furthermore, Zimankos mahunkai (Móczár, 1981) is recorded from China for the first time.

Abstract:Species of the genera Breviterebra Kusigemati, 1982, Charops Holmgren, 1859 and Scenocharops Uchida, 1932 (Hymenoptera, Ichneumonidae, Campopleginae) from China are revised. Of the 13 species recognized, three are described as new species: Breviterebra apicocrinis sp. nov., Charops mauroknemus sp. nov. and Scenocharops yunnanensis sp. nov. The genus Breviterebra Kusigemati and the species Scenocharps montanus Gupta Maheshwary, 1971 are recorded in China for the first time. The distribution area of C. brachypterus (Cameron), C. striatus (Uchida), S. flavipetiolus (Sonan) and S. parasae He in China are updated. DNA barcode fragment of the mitochondrial COI gene of B. apicocrinis sp. nov. is presented. Keys to Breviterebra, Charops and Scenocharops are provided.

Abstract:Seventeen species of Leucophenga subpollinosa species group are described from China (including 11 new species): L. argentina (de Meijere, 1924); L. flavicosta Duda, 1926; L. formosa Okada, 1987; L. nigroscutellata Duda, 1924; L. subpollinosa (de Meijere, 1914); L. umbratula Duda, 1924; L. aculeata sp. nov.; L. acuticauda sp. nov.; L. cultella sp. nov.; L. cyclophylla sp. nov.; L. flaviclypeata sp. nov.; L. fuscipedes sp. nov.; L. gracilenta sp. nov.; L. latipenis sp. nov.; L. magnicauda sp. nov.; L. rhombura sp. nov.; L. rugatifolia sp. nov. A key to all examined species of the subpollinosa group in the present study is provided. The phylogenetic relationships among the 17 species of the subpollinosa group are reconstructed by NJ (Neighbor-joining) and Bayesian analyses using 98 DNA sequences of COI (cytochrome c oxidase subunit I) gene. The pairwise intra- and interspecific p-distances of aforementioned sequences are summarized.

Abstract:Five genera and 13 species are reported here from China that are considered members of the Anaphothrips genus-group (Thripidae:Thripinae ),including two new species of this group,namely Anaphothrips beijingensis sp.n.and Chilothrips jiuxiensis sp.n.,are described and illustrated.A key is provided for identifying these 5 genera with comments on each genus and its species.The yellow morph of the male (adult) of Anaphothrips sudanensis Trybom is newly recorded from China.

Abstract:The Rheocricotopus (Psilocricotopus) chalybeatus species group from China is reviewed. Three new species, R. (P.) brochus sp. n., R. (P.) rotundus sp. n. and R. (P.) serratus sp. n. are described as adult males. R. (P.) imperfectus Makarchenko & Makarchenko, 2005, R. (P.) robacki (Beck & Beck, 1964) and R. (P.) valgus Chaudhuri & Sinharay, 1983 are recorded from China for the first time and annotated. The diagnosis for the species group is emended and a key to adult males of the species group in China is presented.

The new species is described using color photography and is compared to other similar species in the genus. We also provide a revised key to the adult males of Sphaeronemoura.

Abstract:The few already published generic features of the genus Prochasma Warren, 1897 are reviewed and new-found characters are added to make the generic description more comprehensive. A new species, Prochasma diaoluoensis Liu & Stüning, sp. nov. is described from Hainan Province, China. It is the only Prochasma species found on this island and exceptional for its conspicuous pattern, vivid coloration and some morphological characters not observed in other species before. Descriptions and illustrations of adults, their venation, and male and female genitalia are presented. An identification key and an annotated checklist of all presently known species of Prochasma are provided. In addition, a DNA barcode sequence is given for the new species, and preliminary phylogenetic estimations of the genus Prochasma are discussed.

Abstract:Seven species of Keilbachia Mohrig are recognized, and among them, two new species, K subacumina Wu & Zhang, sp. n. and K fengyangensis Wu & Zhang, sp. n. are described and illustrated. Five species, K orthonema, K flagrispina, K demssia, K oligonema and K acumina are reported for the first time from China. A key to the 15 Chinese species of this genus is also provided.

Abstract:Previously, only three species of the genus Neurigona Rondani of the subfamily Neurigoninae were known from Yunnan Province. Here, we reviewed the species of Neurigona from Yunnan and added the following seven new species: N. apicilata sp. nov. , N. basicurva sp. nov. , N. brevidigitata sp. nov. , N. convexa sp. nov. , N. huanglianshana sp. nov. , N. quadrimaculata sp. nov. , and N. ventriprocessa sp. nov. All seven new species are sympatric and were collected from below a reservoir in the Huanglianshan Nature Reserve in Yunnan using three Malaise traps in 2019. This suggests a very high species richness in the Yunnan fauna. A key to the species of Neurigona from Chinese mainland is provided.

Abstract:The subgenus Chelonus Panzer, 1806 of genus Chelonus Panzer, 1806 is revised for China and 73 (of which 31 are illustrated) species are recognized. Twenty-one new species, namely, C. (C.) akinakes sp. nov., C. (C.) ameterion sp. nov., C. (C.) angustivertex sp. nov., C. (C.) apicoretusus sp. nov., C. (C.) argoskeles sp. nov., C. (C.) aspros sp. nov., C.
