Abstract:Based on dynamic and distributed characteristic of remote sensing Integrated survey data, combined with the theory of multi-agent, built up a architecture which integrated data base with the model base and knowledge base, real- ized the core function of information management and decision-making. and brought forward a decision-making process based on this architecture. then discussed the information collection and database management, brought forward a scheme to store and manage data based on Geodatabase of ArcInfo. Some key technology of the system about agent learning and case reasoning also introduced in the article. in the end, proved its reasonability and practicality by building a prototype.

Abstract:Watershed management decision support system (DSS) is an intellectual system developed for the optimal allocation of water resources by watershed managers, and the simulation results of the system can directly affect the scientificity and practicability of watershed management. This paper summarized the related researches from the aspects of water quantity simulation and deployment systems, water quality monitoring and evaluation systems, and integrated watershed management systems. The main features and problems in existing DSS were analyzed, and the model structure and development status of the representative systems such as AQUA-Tool, Elbe-DSS, and HD were introduced. It was suggested that the accuracy and stability of simulated results, the succinctness of working process, and the high degree of user visualization would be the focuses in developing the DSS in the future, and the optimization of program-selecting models and 3D visualization tools, the research and development of inter-basin integrated management DSS, and the improvement of stakeholder participation would be the development trend for the future watershed management DSS.

Abstract:The electric power marketing DSS based on the online transaction processing for traditional database tends to fail to meet the requirement of modern power utilities. In recent years the data warehousing technique has been advancing vigorously, and a new decision support system based on data warehousing has become a major area for the study of DSS today. Abstract:The integration of a Data Warehouse and a Decision Support System (DSS) can provide construction managers with sufficient information for decision making without interrupting daily work of an On-Line Transaction Processing system. In this paper, the concepts of the data warehouse, On-Line Analysis Processing and DSS are first reviewed. The method of creating a data warehouse is then shown, changing the data in the data warehouse into a multidimensional data cube and integrating the data warehouse with a DSS. An application example is given to illustrate the use of the Construction Management Decision Support System developed in this study. This prototype system can enable the right data to be tracked down and provides the required information in a direct, rapid and meaningful way. Construction managers can view data from various perspectives with significantly reduced query time, thus making decisions more efficiently. Moreover, the approach can be applied to other fields.

Abstract:With the increase of problem complexity,environments under which decisions are made become more dynamic. In this way,decision supports provided by previous decision support systems are hard to meet the need of users and active decision support is necessary. Its coming into being lays a foundation for designing the adaptive decision support system(ADSS). Some problems about the active DSS are discussed in this paper, including the comparison between model-driven decision support and problem-driven decision support,active learning,active support for intuitive decision and active help and so on. Abstract:A laboratory experiment examined the effects of applying decision support system (DSS) technology to decision making in ill‐structured problem environments under varying information conditions. Marketing executives participated in the experiment which investigated the effects of DSS availability, DSS training, and data availability on dependent variables that included: (1) the number of alternatives considered by a subject during decision making, (2) the period of time spent by a subject to complete the decision‐making process, (3) the subject's perceived confidence in the decisions he or she had made, (4) the amount of data considered by a subject's during decision making, (5) the individual subject's decision processing, and (6) the subject's performance overall. Our results indicate that all three factors significantly affect the number of alternatives considered by subjects during the decision‐making process. We therefore suggest that DSS training be coordinated with decision training in order to realize the potential of DSSs as described in the DSS literature.

Abstract:The view that the traditional method of DSS development is outdated, which results to the diversiform disadvantages of DSS product. Therefore the ideas of application software framework based development to the generation process of DSS is introduced and a modified flow chat of DSS development is proposed. Moreover, a formal description of the DSS software framework and its development is given. The analysis results indicates that not only does the new development flow ensure the DSS development global stability but also improves the software reusability level of the development process.

Abstract:Aiming at resolving the problems of how to route and schedule vehicles in logistics distribution, which has a characteristic of large scale vehicles scheduling question, a spatial decision support system(SDSS) architecture is designed to improve the efficiency and minimize transportation costs for the logistics distribution in this paper. A three-stage solution framework for large scale vehicle routing problem (LSVRP) is applied in the SDSS. Firstly, the large numbers of customers are merged according to their space attributes. Secondly, the merged customers are assigned to vehicles using a sweep algorithm. Thirdly, each vehicle route order is determined as a Traveling Salesman Problem (TSP). With the solution framework, and by taking a logistics company of china as the case, the authors develop a decision support system. The practical application result shows that the system can reduce logistics costs and raise logistics efficiency for LSVRP.

Abstract:The emergence of mobile computing environments brings out various changes in the requirements and applications involving distributed data and has made the traditional Intelligent Decision Support System (IDSS) architectures based on the client/server model ineffective in mobile computing environments. This paper discusses the deficiencies of the current IDSS architectures based on data warehouse, on-line analysis processing (OLAP), model base (MB) and knowledge based (KB) technologies. By adopting the agent technology, the paper extends the IDSS system architecture to the Mobile Decision Support System (MDSS) architecture. The logical structure and the application architecture of the MDSS and the mechanisms and implementation strategies of the User Access Agent System, a major component of the MDSS, are described in this paper.

Abstract:The expert system (ES) tool DECISION-T was built to test the authors' ideas on what characteristics an ES should have and how to reflect them consistently within a system. Concepts such as decision-support-oriented expert systems (DSO-ESs), the interrupt inference process, global-blackboard-based distributed problem solving, knowledge-based modeling, and data extraction are introduced. Multiple knowledge representation methods and inference engines are offered and integrated.
