Abstract:Watershed management decision support system (DSS) is an intellectual system developed for the optimal allocation of water resources by watershed managers, and the simulation results of the system can directly affect the scientificity and practicability of watershed management. This paper summarized the related researches from the aspects of water quantity simulation and deployment systems, water quality monitoring and evaluation systems, and integrated watershed management systems. The main features and problems in existing DSS were analyzed, and the model structure and development status of the representative systems such as AQUA-Tool, Elbe-DSS, and HD were introduced. It was suggested that the accuracy and stability of simulated results, the succinctness of working process, and the high degree of user visualization would be the focuses in developing the DSS in the future, and the optimization of program-selecting models and 3D visualization tools, the research and development of inter-basin integrated management DSS, and the improvement of stakeholder participation would be the development trend for the future watershed management DSS.

Abstract:In order to overcome the inherent shortcomings in knowledge acquisition and applicability of traditional engineering decision support systems(EDSS),a new mechanism that integrates data mining(DM) technology with engineering decision support technologies is proposed and an intelligent decision support platform for engineering decision makings named DM-EDSS is introduced.DM-EDSS aims to automatically extract useful knowledge(predictive models or rules) from a large amount of historical engineering data,and provide decision supports to solve new engineering problems by reasoning on the extracted knowledge.The results of case study show that the knowledge extracted by DM-EDSS can provide valuable suggestions for engineering decision makings,and the reasoning results are of acceptable precisions that can meet the requirements of engineering practices.

Abstract:<p>To comprehensively understand the decision information system for the information processing of the intelligent manufacturing under Internet of Things, an intelligent decision support system (DSS) based on data mining technology is applied to enterprises to establish an Internet of Things-based intelligent DSS for manufacturing industry, thereby supporting the decision-makers in making intelligent decisions through the intelligent DSS. The research results show that data mining technology can analyze the statistical data from multiple angles and perspectives by modeling, classifying, and clustering a large amount of data, as well as discovering the correlations between the data. Also, in statistical work, the data are counted, and their correlations are utilized to support the decision analysis. Therefore, it can be concluded that the establishment of intelligent DSS for enterprises in manufacturing industry and the utilization of data mining technology as the key technology to achieve the system can make the decision-making of the manufacturing enterprises more effective and scientific. Eventually, the satisfactory decision-making results can be obtained.</p>

Abstract:The integration of a Data Warehouse and a Decision Support System (DSS) can provide construction managers with sufficient information for decision making without interrupting daily work of an On-Line Transaction Processing system. In this paper, the concepts of the data warehouse, On-Line Analysis Processing and DSS are first reviewed. The method of creating a data warehouse is then shown, changing the data in the data warehouse into a multidimensional data cube and integrating the data warehouse with a DSS. An application example is given to illustrate the use of the Construction Management Decision Support System developed in this study. This prototype system can enable the right data to be tracked down and provides the required information in a direct, rapid and meaningful way. Construction managers can view data from various perspectives with significantly reduced query time, thus making decisions more efficiently. Moreover, the approach can be applied to other fields.

It is from the initial use as an auxiliary tool in human resources business management to the later development of a relatively independent and functional sub-system for the processing of personnel matters between modules, and then to achieve the integration of various sub-systems to form a relatively complete set of human resources information management system. In recent years, with the rapid development of data mining technology, more and more enterprises have begun to attach importance to the assistance of computer information systems to manage the completion of various decision-making activities in operation. This paper designs an enterprise human resource decision support system based on data mining to more effectively support human resource management business information, data standardization, intelligent decision analysis, optimize human resource business processes, improve human resource management business efficiency, provide more effective decision support for enterprise operation and promote enterprise development. Results of the study show the effectiveness of the research.

An intelligent financial decision support system is a specific application in the financial field after the integration of traditional decision support system and expert system in artificial intelligence. The application of an intelligent financial decision support system can help enterprises to classify, sort, process and analyze data, and transform historical data that cannot be further used into knowledge base information for senior decision makers. However, in most of the existing researches on an intelligent financial decision support system, the application of data mining technology is not specific enough, and only gives the construction of a model library and knowledge base in a general way. Abstract:Traditional engineering decision support systems (EDSS) cannot be well applied in the practice of construction management due to their inherent limitations in knowledge acquisition. In this paper, a new approach named DMDS is proposed, which integrates data mining technologies with decision support systems. DMDS aims to automatically extract knowledge from a large amount of historic data generated in engineering practice and then reason with the extracted knowledge to support engineering decision makings in construction. A prototype system named DM-EDSS has also been designed and developed to demonstrate the feasibility and effectiveness of the DMDS model. The findings demonstrate that at least the following benefits can be achieved: (1) providing a new approach for EDSS to automatically acquire knowledge from a large mount of engineering data; (2) enabling insights to be gained on factors that have impacts on construction problems; and (3) providing a uniform decision support process for different decision-making problems.

Abstract:To make the supply chain for product family hold speedy responses and satisfy customers diversification needs, based on the characteristics of the supply chain for product family, the requirements of the data-warehouse-based management system of supply chain for product family (DWMSSCPF) were analyzed. The function of data warehouse in the DWMSSCPF was discussed. And the data warehouse of supply chain for product family was built in terms of theme establishment and data-model design. The architecture of DWMSSCPF was presented, including data integration layer, performance control layer, work-flow layer and resolving exception layer. The DWMSSCPF system was successfully employed in a certain automotive parts and components company, and the speedy responses to the customers diversification needs were effectively realized.

Abstract:The view that the traditional method of DSS development is outdated, which results to the diversiform disadvantages of DSS product. Therefore the ideas of application software framework based development to the generation process of DSS is introduced and a modified flow chat of DSS development is proposed. Abstract:How to provide construction managers with information about and insight into the existing data, so as to make decision more efficiently without interrupting the daily work of an On-Line Transaction Processing (OLTP) system is a problem during the construction management process. To solve this problem, the integration of a data warehouse and a Decision Support System (DSS) seems to be efficient. ‘Data warehouse’ technology is a new database discipline, which has not yet been applied to construction management. Hence, it is worthwhile to experiment in this particular field in order to gauge the full scope of its capability. Abstract:The e-commerce industry has experienced unprecedented growth and increasing competition in recent years. The dynamic market environment highlights the need for more advanced and adaptable decision support systems (DSS). Our study explores the enhancement of DSS within the realm of e-commerce marketing, proposing a solution based on a novel CIMS (computerized information management system) method. Aiming at transcending the constraints of traditional marketing methodologies, particularly the issue of response time lag, this research has crafted a CIMS framework that meticulously refines DSS functional modules for faster processing of marketing data at the corporate level. To validate the effectiveness of our proposed system, we conducted a comparative analysis against two existing models, which mainly utilize swarm intelligence and the model-view-controller (MVC) frameworks, respectively. The results demonstrated that our CIMS-based DSS achieved a marked improvement in response times and revenue growth. This empirical evidence points to our system's capability to empower managers with rapid, informed decision-making, thus potentially catalyzing the growth of e-commerce enterprises. The significance of this study extends beyond its immediate application to DSS design; rather, by showcasing a technically feasible path to integrate complex data handling and predictive analytics, this research sheds light on future explorations into scalable intelligent decision support tools in the digital marketplace. As the e-commerce industry continues to evolve and grow, the development of advanced DSS will become increasingly critical for businesses seeking to maintain a competitive edge and drive long-term success.

Abstract:The design and implementation of financial decision support systems can provide more accurate, comprehensive and real-time decision support through data-driven methods, helping organizations make informed financial decisions in an uncertain economic environment. This study explores the design and implementation of a financial decision support system based on a data-driven approach. By collecting a large amount of financial data, including financial statements, market data and other related data, and using data analysis and modeling techniques to process and mine the data, this article develops a prototype of a financial, decision support system to visualize data analysis results and, provide real-time decision support. Experimental tests show that the financial decision-making accuracy of this article is between 87% and 98%, which can provide comprehensive, accurate and real-time financial information to help decision-makers better understand and analyze financial conditions and trends.
