Diagnosis of young children's vaginal foreign bodies by ultrasound and discussions on their mental health

Abstract:Objective To explore the ultrasonographic features of young children's vaginal foreign bodies by ultrasonic diagnosis and the influence of family education on mental health of young children.Methods Retrospective analysis was conducted from January 2015 to December 2016 on four young children whose vaginal foreign bodies were diagnosed by ultrasound and then removed by surgery.Their clinical manifestation and ultrasonographic features were analyzed.Through the inquiries to the children and their guardians about the process of illness history,the influencing factors of family education on the mental health of young children were explored.Results Vaginal foreign bodies were presented as children's vaginal bleeding and abnormal secretion.Ultrasonic examination revealed endovaginal abnormal hyperecho and purulent secretion.All the four young children were in preschool period and commonly introverted.They were not well taken cared by parents but looked after by the aged.Conclusion Ultrasonic examination is an ideal means to diagnose young children's vaginal foreign bodies.Family education manner affects the mental health of young children.The improper education parenting attitudes should be eliminated to avoid the occurrence of young children's abnormal behaviors.
