Abstract:Objectives To understand the distribution of death causes of important diseases in a hospital,and provide reference for the information of medical treatment and nursing strategies for a hospital.Methods To collect the death related basic information of 8744 death cases in a Three A and Tertiary Hospital from 2006 to 2016.According to the classification criteria of ICD-10,the methods of statistical description,rank and inspection were analyzed retrospectively,to apply regression analysis method to analyze the changing trend of death causes.Results The five leading cause of deaths were circular disease,cancer,respiratory disease,digestive system disease and external cause of disease and death,accounting for 84.4％ of all cause of deaths.The cause of deaths were different between sexes for 6th to 10th cause of deaths.The leading cause of death in different age groups are of different origin.Conditions originated in the perinatal period was the main cause of death before 1 years old (75.7％);external cause of disease and death was the leading cause of death for children between 1 to 14 years old (37％);circular disease is the leading cause of death for elderly more than 65 years old (41.8％).Some cause of death changed during years and seasons.Constituent ratio of death caused by cancer was increased in 2012-2015 (B=0.07,P=-0.03);Constituent ratio of death caused by respiratory diseases decreased significantly in 2006-2016 (B=-0.07,P=-0.001).The average annual constituent ratio of death caused by respiratory diseases was the highest (15.2％) in January and the lowest in October (8.5％),it decreased between January to October (B=-0.05,P＜ 0.01).Conclusions The hospital should strengthen the medical treatment and nursing external causes of circular disease,cancer,respiratory disease,digestive system disease and external cause of disease and death.We should make scientific management decisions according to the year and season changes of death causes,so as to reduce the hospital mortality and improve the general medical treatment level of the hospital.
