Clinical Observation in the Treatment of Chronic Renal Failure with Jianpi Bushen Xiezhu Method and Colon Dialysis

Abstract:Objective To study the clinical effect on chronic renal failure(CRF)treated with jianpi bushen xiezhu method(strengthening spleen,tonifying kidney and eliminating turbility)and colon dialysis. Methods Ninety patients of CRF at early and middle stages were randomized into a treatment group 45and a control group 45. In the control group,the basic western medicine was applied,including the treatment for the primary disease and symptomatic treatment. In the treatment,on the basis of the treatment as the control group,the oral administration of herbal medicine with jianpi bushen xiezhu method and colon dialysis of Chi-nese medicine were supplemented. The clinical symptoms,physical signs and laboratory indicators were ob-served and compared between the two groups. Results In 4 weeks of treatment,the total effective rate was 64. 4% in the control group and was 91. 1% in the treatment group,indicating the significant difference(P <0. 01). The renal function indicators after treatment were improved as compared with those before treatment in the two groups,indicating the significant difference(P < 0. 01). After treatment,Ccr in the treatment group was significantly higher than that in the control group(P < 0. 05). After treatment,Scr and BUN in the treat-ment group were significantly lower than those in the control group(P < 0. 01). Conclusion This therapeu-tic method delays the progression of CRF and improves the survival span of the patients. This therapy is high-ly safe,economical and convenient and deserves promoting in clinical application.
