Analysis of early postoperative airway humidification amount of laryngeal cancer patients and its influencing factors

Abstract:Objective:To know about the postoperative airway humidification amount of patients with laryngeal cancer within a week and analyze its influencing factors.Methods:A total of 128 cases of patients with laryngeal cancer were selected from 4 third grade A hospitals in Shanghai by using the convenience sampling method,then to investigate the postoperative airway humidification amount in patients with laryngeal cancer within 1 week by using self-designed questionnaires.Results:the postoperative average amount of airway moist respectively was 10.1 mL,18.9 mL and 36.9 mL and 100.5 mL from low to high in 4 hospitals within 1 weeks,the daily average humidification amount of was 32.0 mL in 128 patients with laryngeal cancer,which was significantly less than that of patients with mechanical ventilation.Multiple linear regression analysis showed that the main reasons in-fluencing the postoperative airway humidification amount were the types of tracheal tube and whether accepting the neck lymph dissection or not,and the variables can explain 73.8% of the total variance of equation.Conclu-sion:Nursing personnel should pay attention to the particularity of patients underwent laryngectomy,and pay more attention to the patients using the plastic tracheotomy and accepting the neck lymph dissection,in order to provide reliable nursing measures for improving the patients’airway humidification.
