Investigation on preoperative information demand of patients undergoing laryngectomy

Abstract:Objective:To know about the preoperative information demands and satisfaction degree of patients undergoing laryngectomy,so as to guide the information providing for the patients undergoing laryngectomy.Methods:A total of 116 patients undergoing laryngectomy were selected who fitted to objective sampling method,the research tools included the parts of general data and information demands questionnaire.The questionnaires were sent to patients by research personnel before discharging,and the questionnaires were filled in by patients themselves and took back immediately.Results:All 116 effective questionnaires were taken back,and the 78.4% patients thought of the preoperative counseling was helpful for them to suit the postoperative changes,and 31.9% patients were satisfied at the preoperative information very much.Conclusion:The preoperative information providing is very important for patients undergoing laryngectomy to suit the postoperative changes,however,the satisfaction degree of patients at preoperative provided information is lower at present,so doctor-nurse staff must know about the tendency of information demands of patients undergoing laryngectomy,so as to provide the related information aiming at their demands and make them suit the postoperative changes.
