Abstract:Objective:To explore the effect of diversified health education on self-management ability and quality of life of elderly patients with osteoporosis (OP).Methods: A total of 100 elderly OP patients in our hospital from January 2015 to December 2016 were randomly divided into observation group and control group. Both groups were treated with drugs and pulsed electromagnetic field treatment. The control group was given routine health education. The observation group received diversified health education.Effective treatment, pain before intervention and three months after intervention, bone mineral density, self-efficacy scale scores and quality of life score (SF-36) were compared in the two groups. Results: The VAS score of the observation group was significantly lower than that of the control group and the bone mineral density was higher than that of the control group. The difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).After the intervention, OP risk factor knowledge, exercise knowledge, exercise efficacy of calcium knowledge score, Calcium effect score of the observation group were significantly higher than that of the control group. The difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).The SF-36 scale and the overall scores of observation group after the intervention were significantly better than that of the control group and the difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:Diversified health education can improve the treatment effect of elderly patients with OP as well as improve self-management ability and quality of life.
