Expression of multidrug resistance-related proteins MRP1/MRP2/LRP/Topo Ⅱ/GST-π in carcinoma of callbladder and cholangiocarcinoma

Abstract:Objective To investigate the exptession of muhidrug resistance-related proteins 1/2(MRP1/MRP2),lung resistance protein(LRP),glutathione S-transferase-π(GST-π)and DNA topoisomerase Ⅱ(Tbpo Ⅱ)in carcinoma of gallbladder and eholangioearcinoma and its relation with drug resistanee in vitro.Methods MRP1,MRP2,LRP,GST-π,TopoⅡwere measured in 18 cases of carcinoma of gallbladder and 36 cases of cholangiocarcinoma by immuno-histochemistry method.Results The positive rate of MRP1,MRP2,LRP,GST-π and Topo Ⅱ in carcinoma of gallbladder and cholangioearcinoma was 72.2%,72.2%,61.1%,77.8%,83.3%and 86.1%,80.6%,69.4%,75.0%,91.7%respectively,significantly higher than in control group(23.1%,15.4%,15.4%,23.1%,30.8%respectively)(P＜0.05).Higher expression of LRP was detected found in the group(＞60 years)than the group(＜60 years).Besides,their expression Was nOt related to gender,age,staging,differentiation and lymph node metastasis(P＞0.05).The expression of MRP1 was related with that of GST-π and MRP2(P＜0.05).Conelusion MRP1,MRP2,LRP,GST-π and Topo Ⅱ were over expressed to varying degrees in carcinoma of gallbladder and cholangiocareinoma without chemotherapy,and related to the primary.muhidrug resistance of cholangiocarcinoma and carcinoma of gallbladder.
