The Expression of P-gp,ToPo H Α,gst-Π and C-Erbb2 in Epithelial Ovarian Carcinoma and Its Significance

Abstract:To investigate the expression of P-gp,ToPoⅡα,GST-πand c-erbB2in epithelial ovarian carcinoma and its significance.Expression of P-gp,ToPoⅡα,GST-πand c-erbB2examined in147epithelial ovarian carci-noma by means of immunohistochemistry(method of SP).(1)Among147patients with ovarian carcinoma,the ex-pression of P-gp,ToPoⅡα,GST-πand c-erbB2was63.9%,45.6%,70.1%and51.7%respectively;and P-gp,ToPoⅡα,GST-πwere all expressed in50.7%patients.(2)Compared with the degree of differentiation,the expression of P-gp,GST-πand c-erbB2in low differentiation was higher than that in moderate and high differentiation(P0.05).(3)Univariate analysis showed that the expression of P-gp,GST-πand c-erbB2was correlated with survival time and poor prognosis of patients with ovarian carcinoma.Cox regression analysis showed that the expression of P-gp and co-expression of P-gp and GST-πwas correlated with survival rate.High expression of ToPoⅡαtended to have protect potential to patients.[Conclusion]It shows that the joint-effect of multiple factors(P-gp,ToPoⅡα,GST-πand c-erbB2)is the main mechanism of multidrug resis-tance in ovarian carcinoma.To examine these4indexes in ovarian carcinoma is helpful to make reasonable chemothera-peutic regimen and to evaluate the prognosis.
