A comparison of HPV infective genotypes in cervical cells in Yan'an city versus Yulin city

Abstract:Objective:To compare the clinical distribution of human papillomavirus(HPV)genotypes in Yan''an city and Yulin city.Methods:All the cervical cell specimens and 19 HPV genotypes were analyzed by PCR reverse spot hybridization technology.Results:In Yan''an city,HPV infection rate was 40.76%(1 410/3 459),high-risk HPV infection rate was 38.65%(1 337/3 459),low-risk HPV infection rate was 3.85%(133/3 459).In Yulin city,HPV infection rate was 30.36 %(685/2 256),high-risk HPV infection rate was 29.03 %(655/2 256),low-risk HPV infection rate was 3.06%(69/2 256).HPV infection rate and high-risk infection rate of Yan''an city were higher than Yulin city(P<0.05).Low-risk infection rate was not significantly different between two cities(P>0.05).The infection rate was similar in two cities,≥61 years old group was the highest,followed by 51~60,≤30,31~40,41~50 years old group.High-risk HPV infection rate order was different between two cities.In Yan''an city,from high to low,the order was followed by ≥61,51~60,31~40,41~50,and ≤30 years old group,in Yulin city,followed by 51~60,≤30,≥61,31~40,41~50 years old group.According to the age groups,infection rate,high-risk HPV infection rate,low-risk HPV infection rates were higher than Yulin city(P<0.05).Low-risk infection rate were not significantly different except ≤30 years old group.The most common high-risk HPV subtype was HPV16,and followed by 58,52,18,53,39 in Yan''an city.In Yulin city that was 16,52,58,53,51,18.Low-risk HPV subtype were both followed by 6,11,43.The infection rate of single subtype and the duplex infection rate of Yan''an city were higher than that of Yulin city(P<0.05).The single low-risk subtype infections rate,single high-risk subtype infections rate,duplex high-risk subtype infections rate,three and above three polyinfection rate of Yan''an city were higher than that of Yulin city(P<0.05).Duplex polyinfection rate of Yulin city was higher than that of Yan''an city(P<0.05).Conclusion:Yan''an city and Yulin city had different infection characteristics.HPV genotyping detection of various regions has positive effect to prevent cervical cancer in this area.
