Abstract:Objective To investigate the differential diagnosis of solid pseudopapillary tumors of pancreas with the men and non-functioning pancreatic neuroendocrine tumors. Methods Analyze the clinical data of Eight men with SPTP and Eleven cases of which were all retrospectively pathologically confirmed. All patients underwent unenhanced and dynamic contrast-enhanced MSCT scans. The location of lesions, the degeneration of cystic, the boundary of lesions, the calcification of lesions, the enhancement of arterial and portal venous phase, the peak enhancement were all analyszed. Results Cystic degeneration was found in 2 patients with the solid pseudopapillary tumors of pancreas,Also, cystic degeneration were found in 7 patients with the NFPNET.There were significant differences between them (P =0.025).The difference between the solid pseudopapillary tumors of pancreas which all in 8 reach the peak enhancement in the portal venous phase and the non-functioning pancreatic neuroendocrine tumors whose peak enhancement were 7 in arterial phase and 4 in portal venous phase were meaningful in Statistics (P =0.00).Both of the locations of tumors, calcification or not, envelope clear or not, pancreatic duct dilatation or not and pancreatic atrophy were meaningless in Statistics (P > 0.05).Conclusion The dynamic enhanced MSCT scanning helps us discriminate the solid pseudopapillary tumors of pancreas in men between the neuroendocrine tumors with no functionality.
