Abstract:Objective: To analyze the antibiotic use and the management from 2011 to 2013 in a hospi_tal so as to put forward sustainable management measures for consolidate the achievements in special recti_fication activities. Methods: By retrospective survey, the antibiotic use rate and antibiotic use density in the outpatients, emergency patients and inpatients of the hospital from 2011 to 2013 were analyzed statictically and contrastively. The number of drug specifications in the inpatients and the drug use of prophylactic an_tibiotics for type I incision surgery were also analyzed contrastively. Results: After the rectification, the an_tibiotic use rate of outpatients, emergency patients, and inpatients, antibiotic use density of inpatients, the antibiotic use rate of prophylactic antibiotics for type I incision sergery were significantly decreased, drop_ping from 16.65%, 56.51%, 65.54%, 66.89DDD, 80.56% to 14.02%, 42.60%, 46.87%, 42.61DDD, 50.64%respectively. The DDDs and AUD of most antibiotics were also reduced. Conclusion: The special rectifica_tion activities on antibiotic use effectively promoted the rational use of antibiotics. The sustainable manage_ment in the hospital is expected to further consolidate the achievements of special rectification.
