Abstract:OBJECTIVE To investigate the influence of MOHC(Ministry of Health of The PRC) special rectification activities of antibacterials on clinical use of antibacterials in China.METHODS The original electronic prescriptions including antibiotics were collected from 79 comprehensive hospitals in 6 cities between 2009 and 2011 from the Hospital Prescription Analysis Programs.Excel software was used to summarize all the prescription data and calculate antibiotics DDDs,cost,etc.RESULTS The implementation of the activities reduced the cost and DDDs of antimicrobial agents,but the proportion of antibiotics prescriptions didn't drop in the key departments.CONCLUSION The implementation of special rectification activities of antibacterials of MOHC has produced a great influence on the use of antimicrobials,as shown by a decline of the total cost and prescription number of antimicrobials,but the cost of other medicines showed a rising trend.
