Abstract:Objective To evaluate the ability of feridex-enhanced MR imaging to detect focal hepatic lesions compared with CT enhanced imaging. Methods MR images and CT scans obtained in 26 patients with 61 local hepatic lesions were analyzed with prospective analysis and ROC analysis. In order to compare feridex-enhanced MR imaging with helical CT enhanced imaging for the detection of focal hepatic lesions. Results The prospective analysis suggest that the diagnostic accuracy of detection of hepatic focal lesions on helical CT enhanced group, feridex-enhanced MR alone group and combined unenhanced and feridex-enhanced MR imaging group is 78%、86%、94%,respectively, P0.05. The ROC analysis suggest that combined unenhanced and feridex-enhanced MR imaging yielded the best performance for lesion detection, there are significant differences compared with the other methods. Conclusion Feridex-enhanced MR imaging was more accurate than enhanced helical CT imaging for detection of focal hepatic lesion.
