Abstract:OBJECTIVE To study the treatment effectiveness and side effects of Ferrous Lactate tablets for the patients with iron deficiency anemia (IDA). METHODS A randomized clinical trial was performed to compare the treatment effectiveness and side effects of Ferrous Lactate tablets with Ferrous Succinate tablets on patients with IDA orally taken for 6 weeks. RESULTS On the forth week of the trial, remarkably effective rate, effective rate and totally effective rate of ferrous lactate and ferrous succinate were 72.41%,17.24%,89.65% and 54%,22%,76%, respectively. The effectiveness of ferrous lactate was higher than that of ferrous succinate (P0.05). The remarkably effective rate and effective rate of ferrous lactate and ferrous succinate on the sixth week of the trial were 93.05%, 2.78% and 93.44%, 4.92%, respectively. The effectiveness of two drugs was the same(P0.05).while the side effects of both drugs were no difference (P0.05). CONCLUSION Ferrous Lactate tablet is a highly effective drug as Ferrous succinate tablets and with endurably mild side effects to patients with IDA.
