Abstract:Recently, the study of stem cells has been becoming a focal point of the field fo life science because fo its special characteristics. It is valuable to the medicine that stem cell has the ability of self-renewal and multilineage differentiation, which can be widely applied in mayn research fields such as gene therapy, tissue engineering and medicine research. The research of stem cell is also significantl ot the study of basic life rule such as cell^s growth, evolution and develpment mechanism. Although a number of important progresses have gained, many technology problems need to be solved in the fields fo stem cells research. Here to summarized th stem cell^s concpepts, characteristics, current research progresses fo its main research fieldds, study difficulties and application future.
